Matt Millen is a Bafoon

How the hell did the Lions keep this guy as their GM that long. He's taken one too many shots to the head. On the Duzey hold in overtime, "well, if you hold low, it won't be called"..."refs usually let that go". Moron.

"John Lowdermilk will have a real shot to be playing on Sundays" Enough Said. Wow...no offense John...you are not playing on Sunday unless it's in a developmental league in Prague.

He was right about one thing..."if I'm Nebraska, I make Rudock beat me"...now, Jake did lead a drive to get the lead, but on 5 drives in the middle of the game, he was terrible, awful, unbelievably bad. Throwing into triple coverage a few times and missing two wide open receivers, one he didn't even throw to. Not a great day for our QB.

He was wrong about the hold, it should have been called. He was right about Lowdermilk. I would take him on the Bears without hesitation.

He basically said over and over that Rudock is incompetent at QB without actually saying it. Very sad, when your QB is being called out like that on national TV. Lowdermilk will not play on Sunday. He is bad at safety

Sometimes i think that Millen sounds kind of smart, then I remind myself how awful the Lions were when he was their GM. Like 0-16 bad.

With that said, I agree he was hard on Rudock, particully his quickness. He needs to make a quicker throw, etc.

Lowdermilk did seem to have a good game for the first 40 minutes of the game, which may have skewed his perspective.

What I found in extreme poor judgement is his multiple comments of "this is on... This is 100% on..." As if the loss is 100% on one play or the world will end soon because Rudock missed a throw on one play. Let's be real it's probably a little more difficult than we realize. Millian hasn't played since the 1970's his stint in the nfl in recent decades is dead last all time. His opinion should mean nothing and ultimately proved college football is hard up for announcers

Millen's stint as Lions's GM and the bad drafts he had should be an indicator to not listen to his overall player analysis. He is no Gary Danielson who when he was on espn I thought did some of the best football analysis I have ever listened to.

I dont hear Danielson as much now but he still seems to be very good.

At one time MM was a really good color analyst. He was Speilman before Speilman. In fact, he was so good on TV that it lead to him getting the GM job with Detroit. I think the disaster in Detroit damaged his reputation and I also think age is starting to creep in a little bit you could see the reading glasses around his neck on the close ups.

As for Lowdermilk, he will get a look by teams that like Iowa guys, the usual suspects Packer/Patroits will roll him in there as FA pick. Outside chance of making the practice squad.

you are right about Millen, trj. I remember when he was one of the best around. Regarding Lowdermilk, he'll get shot because of his dad and kfootballs connections.

Pretty much every team in the league has a RB on par with Gordon and Coleman. If JL had no shot at tackling them in space and they outran his angles in college, how in the hell do you think he's going to get a serious look in the NFL. And I'm not even talking pass coverage yet...just run support. He's average to slightly above average (and I'm being generous here) safety in college. Those guys don't have a chance in the NFL. Most of the time corners convert to safety (Amari Speviey) because their cover skills can't cut it at corner, but works at safety. JL is no Amari.

If you want to talk a guy who has a shot, it's Lomax. His first year was pretty damn good IMO. His upside is much much greater with a year of experience under his belt.

Brah, I didn't say he was the 2nd coming of Ronnie Lott.....All I said was he would get a FA look by teams that like Iowa guys. See Tanner Miller.

No, I get what you are saying...I was just embellishing the point I was making...i understand and agree to a certain extent. He's not as good as Tanner was though...once again...that is my opinion only. Others may disagree.
