Matt Holiday's dirty slide

Maybe the giants were more concerned with getting outs and winning the game. Novel idea. Maybe he gets plunked next game. I don't know, but that is not even close to a slide, let alone one that is trying to break up the double play.

Hmm cuz that is exactly what Holliday was trying to do: not let them get an out. How can you say he wasn't trying to break up a double play? Was he trying to break up a triple play?
 
Not saying he wasn't trying to break it up, which he successfully did, but rules state it needs to be a slide, not a leg whip tackle. he should been assessed a 15 yard personal foul!

I think it was dirty, you are a cardinals fan so you won't think it is dirty. I get that. (but it was dirty)

As long as you can reach the base you try and take out the 2nd baseman. If I'm stealing 2nd I don't aim for the SS when sliding, either. But a DP is different.

And I don't slide. I mash. Buster Posey style.

Ha Ha, your team (red a$$ birds) don't agree. Look at this clip from a previous Giants game (at the 4 minute mark). Will Clark slides into 2nd to break up the double play (legal slide, you can see dirt move on the first base side), and what do the Cardinals do? KICK HIM WHILE HE IS DOWN!!! AND THEN GANG UP ON HIM FROM BEHIND!!! Cowards.

I am not sure if Hollyday is dirty birdy or not, but I know this: He is a steroided slug who can mash a little.

Holliday will definitely get thrown at by the Giants the first time these two teams meet up next season. It won't happen in the playoffs because outs and runs are so precious, but it will definitely happen on April 5 of next year.

Sorry dude, I couldn't watch that crap of a video. I got to the 1 minute mark and it appeared to just be a still image montage of man love for Will Clark, so I didn't go beyond that.
