Matt Holiday's dirty slide

His objective is to break up the double play. Was it cheap? Maybe, since he started his slide past 2nd base....Hopefully the kid is ok

Maybe you didn't get the 4 minute mark reference. That is a lot of words to read at one time.

Generally when someone I don't know suggests I watch a video, and then says to go to certain time, I am always hesitant and like to make sure that the earlier part of the video did not unbeknownst to me contain some sort of illegal pornography, etc. After about 30 seconds of the Will Clark Boner Fest, I decided it wasn't worth my time.

Looking at it objectively, since I don't have a team here, it was clearly interfering with the play (speaking nothing to it being "dirty" or not). Holliday slid late and right into the SF player. He went so high that you can see his elbow hit Scutaro in the groin. That's not a baseball play. Slides can't go that high. If the first part of your body hitting the bag is your knee, you're not sliding.

I'm not a huge baseball fan. And I'm not a fan of either team . But I do understand the game and watch enough games...live and on TV... to have a decent perspective.

If that wasn't a dirty play (slide), nothing is. Aside of throwing a fastball right at guy's head, or decapitating a catcher at home plate unnecessarily... that's about as dirty as it gets in baseball.
