Matt Campbell Hates Iowa

--------Can't wait for BF to think of something else to pizz him off. This could get exciting.

Brain needs to concentrate on recruiting Iowa's first "Big time" receiver in the history of the program. How a program cannot have at least ONE every decade is simply astonishing.

Ahhh nuts. Do you have to spoil the fun.

Not going to lie I clicked on this thread to find out who Matt Campbell was. I guess it's kind of a lose lose situation for ISU fans with this guy. He has success, he gets a better job (although some might argue his last gig was a better job). He doesn't have success they remain a joke.

Campbell also has a staff of friends so it's only a matter of time before the better ones start to leave based on their own aspirations. Dealing with staff turnover can be tricky too and cohesion can break down.

He is trying to do the OSU/Michigan thing and it is just dumb. Flat out dumb. Does he now just refer to them as State University?

He refers the them as "The Iowa State University Cyclones". I respect the guy but at the same time like the fact he hates us. He never had this at Toledo as he knew his place in that state. Now he is in the "Hawkeye State" and that bugs him as he's the 2nd P5 team in Iowa.[/QUOTE]

I have a solution ... if he hates us so much do us both a favor and drop us from his schedule ... schedule Minnesota instead and hate that row boat with us.

He hates us because he MUST. Its not difficult to understand.

Going to give Campbell the benefit of the doubt on this one. I truly believe that the administration (Pollard, etc.) pushes this and says that he has to hate them and circle this game, it's their Super Bowl, etc. whether he wants to or not.

ISM might end up being that wr. He already has the speed and can actually catch the ball.

The fact that he fumbled on his first touch last week and still played AND got the first target yesterday makes me think that the coaching staff feels he's too good to be put in the doghouse. Maybe I'm reading way too far into it, but I thought it was kind of odd that he was back in there last week...until I saw the way he played yesterday.

Oh, Haymaker. I hate to do it, but...

And to think he almost hung his hat at Minnesota...
