Marvin McNutt Released

Will be interesting to see if he can play in the league..if he can't, Iowa's two all time leading receivers, both from the last two years, nada

I wouldn't be surprised to see Miami go after McNutt. The Dolphins are dreadful at receiver and McNutt has a prior, seemingly positive, relationship with WR coach Ken O'Keefe.

Hopefully someone picks him up. If not, maybe Philly will sign him to the practice squad to give him more time.

The Eagles do have a lot of talent at the Wr spot already. Hopefully Marvin Makes it somewhere else. Iowa needs a wr in the NFL

He just doesn't specialize in any area of receiving enough to have a role.

What he really had going for him was his size and hands.

Below average speed for NFL standards & not enough acceleration to create separation. Every NFL team has only the best corners & safeties from college teams.

Hope he lands somewhere where a team is dreadful & thin at WR & he can contribute. He'll get a couple more chances, I think.

Upon hearing the news my first thoughts were how does this reflect upon the caliber of coaching, specifically KOK and Soup, and the players surrounding DJK and McNutt.

SO these record breaking receivers were coached up and/or had such a great QB and O-line to succeed?

Q? Can't/won't McNutt be picked up for a practice squad or some other team?

Philly invested a 6th round pick on him. Usually GMs are not quick to give up on drafted players this quickly.

If they don't sign him to their practice squad that is sending quite a message, but with is size and hands I would think someone will give him another year on a PS to develop.
