Marvin McNutt Has Been A Great Hawkeye.

He really has a lot of character. He comes in as an athletic QB & many schools viewed him as an athlete on their rosters. He put his hard work in early while not seeing the field & you never heard a gripe. He was then asked if he would transition over from QB to WR & he accepted it & again worked hard perfecting this new position. He has really been a rock for the Iowa team the past few seasons.

He doesn't get into trouble. You don't hear any gripes from him. He just goes out & works hard & is a terrific teammate & leader. He's not a liability at interviews & he seems to have a heart of gold.

It was recently reported in an article after freshman Dan Haier got into his bad accident & was recovering in the hospital, Marvin McNutt was one of, if not, the first non-family member to visit him in the hospital.

What a role model. He will be missed after this season & will be on of my all-time favorite Hawkeye football players.

I just have a lot of respect for McNutt how he plays on the field & what kind of teammate he is, but, I may have the most respect for him how he is off the field & the kind of individual he is & the humanity he shows.

Couldn't agree more. He has been a beacon of leadership on this team and is a joy to watch on the field. Hoping for big things for him in his senior season - he certainly deserves it.

Great post MH. I couldn't agree more with what you said. Let's hope he gets his just reward at the next level. He certainly deserves it!!

Not sure about his love life MnFreak. :)

I've always thought he was a superior receiver to DJK. I'm glad it's him who's back to help break in a new starting QB. Dude's big, fast, and has great hands.
