Mark Weismen Withdrawal Symptoms

Since about mid week I've had Mark Weisman withdrawal symptoms! I didn't expect to have a Mike Alstott sighting watching last weeks game but those two are very comparable, IMO. It's funny how the game of college football goes. After losing two RB's, usually on would be like "James, just throw every down James". But funny, I enjoyed watching Weisman so much in that game bulldoze over players & gaining 5-6 yrd chunks at a time, in the end I wanted him to get the ball every damn down. I haven't had that feeling since Shonn Greene's junior year.

It was refreshing seeing a big bullish RB just running thru and abusing people. It's fun to watch. He and the O-line literally put UNI on their heels. There was a point in the game, I think after the catch, twist & turns & falling back for additional yrds inside the UNI's 20 yrd line, that it felt as if he put the Iowa team on his back and said follow me guys. There was just that feeling for me. A sophmore in a different position, taking charge, taking the bull by the horns & running with it, literally.

I can't wait until 11:00 am tomorrow!! :D

Dude is a beast! He should have been starting all along!

Wait, nevermind. We played an FBS team last week.

I know people are going to get on you for it so I might as well be the first, Shonn left after his junior year... He just played like he was a senior.

Oh yea. Duh me. I'll edit it. Thanks.

But, to my credit, he was the closest thing Iowa has had to a senior RB since forever!!

Lol I completely agree. He was just a beast hence the reason he was the Doak Walker award winner. If Mark could become half the player Shonn was, he will be doing pretty good.

I can't believe Deace didn't include an Iowa pick on his list today. I was very much looking forward to seeing some numbers on how double digit favorites who start Jew RB's do against the spread.

!! :D

I have to say that Coker abused many a tackler last year as Weisman can do but Weisman seems to have quick acceleration and decent speed.

I love it, I love it, I love it.
