Love it that Davie/Jones will be doing the game! As others have noted 2002 was great, but I also think they will be stoked to be doing the game as well, as our tv prestige rose a little bit, we saw less and less of those guys. Davie is one of my favorites currently, and also love when Spielman does a game, those two are great at insight + energetic!

2002 Voice of the Hawkeyes is back. Awesome.
Bob Davie is great. Always liked him calling a game. Yes....it seemed as though he called almost every Iowa game in 2002 and was always very complimentary of the team, style, coaches and discipline of the players.

Really started jumping on the Chris Martin bandwagon last season when Iowa played at Michigan State.

Davie was a grad assistant with KF at Pitt before KF came to Iowa as an assistant coach in the early 80's. I'm sure he knows him pretty well and always seems complimentary of the Hawks.

Really? Is that the first thing people will latch on to regardless, the fact that the time zone is different? "Oh no, Iowa can't play in the Mountain or Pacific Time Zones! They' lose!" or "Oh no, Game Day can't be in those time zones, it's too damn early!"
All you need to know about this selection for Game Day is the name of conference for one of the teams involved.
Chris Martin was all over Shonn Greene in 2008,early on. He is sharp.
Davie/Jones are a good listen.
The BTN continues to improve their roster,both on the field,(true babes,outside of Jon),and in the booth. Dinardo is awesome...and so is Griffin. Mason is ok...and Revsine is very good. Herron is a rising star. Toomer...not so great. Rachiels...solid.
Bentley...promising. Miller...a pro.
