Dude finished strong. That was his best game by far with us. Now he has his flaws and everything obviously. I just wish he woulda came to us last season. Had he been here that long with Lester and this O Iowa woulda gotten off to a better start. We wouldn't have lost to ISU and most likely a couple of those closer Ls we had woulda went our way too. I just think he was so nervous early on and unsure of everything. You could see in this game he was totally in control out there. He dribbled a Neb defenders head off the turf with a stiff arm like a basketball. This became his team the guys were all about being lead by him.
The play I really liked was the roll out to throw to the TE. Cause Neb had a free rusher coming right at him that he had to make miss. Early in the year Mark woulda hesitated and either got tackled for a huge loss or rushed the throw. But nope he calmly made the dude miss got to where he could make the on target throw and Vonome got himself an easy catch with a lot of YAC. The Mark we saw today was what Iowa was banking on when they went and got him. It's just too bad he wasn't this Mark for 12 games. But had he been with us last yr too I think he woulda been.
