Malik Rucker now looking around.

That's just football. Iowa football anyway. No worries. At least Iowa staff knows talent and works to get them only to have other BCS teams poach them away late. We then in turn give a MAC kid his only BCS offer and he takes it. Glad Kurt is hitting recruiting trail hard during this off season while other teams prep for bowl game and recruiting. Really paying off.

Texas Tech?? Seriously. Wow If TT can poach our commits then I don't know what to think. I would hope to shout that the panic button is within arms reach of this coaching staff cause if they can't keep this class together... A down couple of years in recruiting sure won't help anything in the fans eyes and obviously in results on the field.

We lost what looked to be IMO our best recruit to Indiana, how can any of us be surprised at this point?

That's football, fart snort.

What's funny is that you think Iowa is a bigger program than Texas Tech.

Because of the kids dad taking the job there. You act like he was stolen. Everyone knew he'd head to Indy if his dad got hired. Had nothing to do with football.

Fully aware of that sport, and I our crappy season did have something to do with it. Have you ever heard of an easy out? Did Garmon's daddy get a new job somewhere? How bout Rucker? Delano Hill as well? This economy must be better than I thought.

Kirk is now the head of the Kinnick submarine division...his boat has sunk

If I were Garmon I would probably leave too. Didnt have success and will be better off in an offense that runs to his strengths. As for Rucker, every team has guys leave during the offseason but he hasn't made a move yet, so that argument failed. As for Hill, I fully thought he would stay, but can't blame a kid who wants to go play for his home state for the most winningest team in CFB history. Look around the country, every team will have more than a few players quit or transfer before season starts.

Recruiting class sure going to the crapper in a hurry. Of well at least KF can go get his one and two star nobodies he can try to turn into nfl players and when that doesn work he will just have another excuse for being a worthless pile of crap coach.

Good rant. You feel better?

You're an idiot. If you get the chance to play college football at the highest level for your dad why wouldn't you?

Iowa has been a poor program since mid 2010. Ferentz is not a good recruiter. Never has been. Kids are getting better offers. Combine those issues = commits leaving.

2011 class was top 30
last fall 5 4*'s in the class, boy that is some lousy recruiting
this fall Wisniskie is a 4* on ESPN
Powell a JUCO is not ranked because ESPN does not rate JUCO'S
also on ESPN Hill was rated a 3* grade of 79
the following are graded a 79 3*
OL Goeble
OL Welsh
LB Kenny
the only 2* is DE/TE Boetger who is a 3* on Rivals and LS Kluver, who by some is the #2 LS in the country.
11 of the 18 commits are grade 76 or better
this is not a bad class and as far as I can tell Iowa is after 3* and 4* recruits

and as a side note Nebraska just lost a 3* by ESPN to Alabama
quick sound a note of the demise of the Nebraska class as they lost a recruit to Alabama

I am sure NE has more 4 stars coming in than Iowa has...losing a 3 star nothing losing your best recruits is not good sign

Which are what exactly? Size-no, power-no, speed-no, elusiveness-no. Maybe I'm the most biased Iowa fan in the world, but Garmon wasn't that good.

Just because some guy that works for one of those recruiting websites decided to make him a 4 star, doesn't mean he was any good. RBs are kind of the one position expected to play right away, and he wasn't physically ready, at all. So maybe he could of developed under Doyle etc., but it wasn't a real strength problem, he's just skinny.

I can't make something up for everything bad that happens to Iowa football, and I don't want it to seem like I'm doing that. "Hill flips commitment, well that's not so bad". No, it is bad, it sucks. But the loss of Garmon won't hurt us that much. He is not a difference maker.

He is the most overrated (in true definition of the word) recruit Iowa has had in a while
