Malik Rucker now looking around.

2008 Iowa finished 9-4. Not in the Top 10 and I am pretty sure they were ranked 20th in the final poll after the bowl games. Another swing and a miss by dragonherbytarnredhawk.

That's funny, in another post RedHawk said Iowa played Missouri and Oklahoma in the 2008 and 2010 Insight Bowls respectively.

Here's what he said:
Re: Are we now the only BCS school without a 4* commit?

"depends upon how you look at it 2008 Iowa played top 15 Missouri in the Insight bowl and won
in 2010 they played top 10 Oklahoma in the Insight bowl and lost
I will take playing a top ranked team in a bowl every year. and the Insight bowl is near the worst of all the BT bowl games"

I don't mind ol'Red/Herby, he just gets a little excited sometimes.

Yeah, maybe he does just posts stuff from recruiting sites but at least he is trying to add to the board. Most people on here are just here to rip on other people for their opinions and never actually state on themselves.

You're definitely in the minority.

I agree that this place can be hard to stomach at times, but he certainly has been the main reason for that the last few months. I don't care for some posters, but herbytarnreddragonhawk takes it to another level. It's ok to be wrong. I'm wrong all the time. It's being able to admit it, and not lash out at others b/c they pointed it out that's the difference between herbytarnreddragonhawk being tolerable and what he's doing now. He acts as if someone is attacking his children when they say that Gabe will not likely be a contributor until later in his career. Same goes for KF, recruiting, coaching, etc, etc; pretty much anything you'd post on this site that's in contrast to his opinion.

How dare you sir! Gabe is going to the draft after this year, Fran is holding him back! Just kidding man!

Someone actually started a thread in the football forum about getting him banned, people need to realize that if they don't like him, ignore him. If he responds to your post don't respond back. Yes, he can be annoying and rude but so are soo many other people here. I agree, he does get angry when people tell him he is wrong, he doesn't take it well at all.

I am wrong a lot but we are here to discuss opinions, there aren't alot of facts in recruiting except stats and committments beyond that it is all "hearsay" because until these kids make it on the field. The way I look at it is he is passionate, very, very passionate about Iowa Football and as long as KF is the coach he is going to defend him and his staff and especially the players.

I used to be like him to a point, I argued with Cyclone fans at bars and stupid stuff like that. I defended KF and the staff and players to people who didn't like them or bashed them. Then I grow up, realized everyone has an opinion and is entitled to their own opinion, 99.99% of the time no matter what you say or do you can't change someone else's opinion.

I have a feeling that in the comparison between TT and Iowa, TT fans would probably say, "You ever been to Iowa City?!".

Reality is, Tech is a larger university with much more talent not only on the roster, but in the near vicinity and it's not even close. They will be playing in their 17th bowl game in the last 20 years, most of which while playing a B12 South schedule. Tubberville bailed out of town before he got ran out of town. If the two programs were to go head to head, Tech would destroy Iowa.

I fail to see how you can even argue which is the stronger program.

Well if were going by actual results head to head, that would be Iowa.

In three or four years people will be saying Iowa is losing because of this recruiting class, and the Iowa coaches will be saying Iowa needs more speed.
