Luke Yaklich was let go by UIC after four seasons as head coach. Prior to that, he was best known for revolutionizing the defensive efficiency of John Beilein's Michigan teams, instrumental in their run to the 2018 title game and 2019 sweet sixteen. He's an Illinois native. If Fran decides to return, he should move heaven and earth to add him to his staff for next season.
