Lucas Oil Stadium and B1G Champ Game Attendance

For those still looking for tickets to the B1G Championship game here are some facts and figures for the previous 4 years.

Lucas Oil Stadium capacity for football = 67,000

2011: WI vs. MSU, attendance 64,152
2012: WI vs. Neb, attendance 41,260
2013: OSU vs. MSU, attendance 66,002
2014: OSU vs. WI, attendance 60,229

Average attendance = 57,910

Generally speak, from an attendance perspective, MSU does not travel as well as OSU or Michigan. Would be awesome to see at least 35K Hawk fans in Indy.

That's right. My dad got dragged over there with some Nebraska fans and he said the place was a freaking morgue. Claimed he wanted to bounce in the first quarter when it was 21-0, but the guy with the car wouldn't leave until the end.

Keep in mind they didn't deserve the 2012 one as they finished conference play with a 4-4 record but was awarded the Leaders division since both Ohio State and Penn State were banned from post season play.
 
Of all the talk about the fuskers fan attendance and they are the best fans in the world that sure was a pitiful showing for a BIG CHAMPIONSHIP GAME! LOL

Their fans thought that game would just be a regular stop...that's why their AD puts it on their football calendar. And....they weren't exactly supposed to compete, which they didn't.

Hopefully we will do better both attendance wise and performance wise.

That place will be crawling with Hawk fans. I make no promises about performance, though.
 
Been to every title game, and really excited to see Hawks playing in it this year. Always plenty of tickets available, and will be no different this year.

Given the small sample size of people I know who are going...I am confidently predicting Iowa fans are "swarming" Indy. It's going to be Kinnick east!!!
 
I'd like to go, but $150/ticket to sit in the nosebleeds isn't very appealing. Worth the risk to wait until gameday to pick up decent tickets?
 
I would like to go but thought the game was already a sellout. Is that not the case? Any thoughts on the best and most reasonable way to get tickets would be appreciated.
 
There are plenty of seats available on StubHub. There are also tickets on Ebay. If you don't mind taking a little risk the cheapest way I've seen to get them is through Craigslist.
 
Driveable to Indy. More like 40,000 hawk fans. Yes?

Last year wisky loses - 59-0. Yikes.

CJB -- no wind inside Lucas.. Healthy CJB!! Like the Hawks!
