I would say that the SEC and in particular those two teams have earned that type of hype though.

So, their offenses are performing at optimal level and its just the greatness of the SEC and these defenses that is keeping these teams from scoring? This game was suppose to the greatest in the history of the world and everyone at ESPN said no team deserves to play in the National Title game even if these two teams lose.

Well I think it's safe to say that these are the two best defenses in the country. Until another conference steps up and actually beats an SEC team in the championship game, they deserve the hype, IMO.
