If you don't actually live in IC, you would love it there. I love the Hawkeyes, but can't stand the liberal slant of the town and much of the University.

I work for the U and I lived there for 10 years. When we had our first child we left. Iowa CIty is a fun town but I own 60 acres of land and a new house which cost me less than half of what it costs to own a shack in IOWA city. I am lucky enough to not be required to work within 70 miles of the place.

Good advice. Thats what I did. I moved away to "normal" AMerica...you can have your little bubble. Man I swear I never thought I would see the day when "normal" iowans would be treated with xenophoia. SOOOoooo glad to leave that liberal/communistic petri dish. Johnson county is so out of touch with middle America it is funny..
