I've never understood the premise of the OP...and have heard it hundreds of times.
Who cares what we talk about? None of us has any bearing on the outcome of the next game on the schedule, or any game on the schedule. Whether or not we focus on the next game really doesn't matter, does it?

I totally get what you're saying, but if Iowa loses to Nebraska again, I won't really care about having an NCAA discussion.
I've actually just been enjoying the ride lately. I watched the Illinois game thinking "wow, it will be great to be Illinois."
i agree with you. Why doesn't someone just start a thread called BUBBLE TALK then put about 65 threads in that thread. My god it's ridiculos at times how many of the same thread get started 12 hours after the first one.

It's been ages since Iowa has been remotely relevant this time of year, so excuse us for relishing in it a little bit. Don't like it? You don't have to read it. Or go start some threads about something that you want to see discussed.
I agree with the OP's premise though - just got to take care of business. But until Saturday's game rolls around, there's not much for us to do but speculate.

If an 8-year old had somehow been deprived of Christmas for five years he's gonna be talking about Santa a lot the next time Christmas rolls around.
Talking about different scenarios is enjoying the ride for me. If I just sat back and waited for the next game to come on, that would not be enjoying the ride for me.

Nope gonna have to use the Nebraska cushion rule. We are gonna win by 20 but will be up by 40 at one point during the game. If we are up by 30 as you say then we will only win by 10
I agree, John Shut the board down. We gotta be focussing on the game. Enough of this HN forum business. Its just putting the whole game at risk by us fans spending time here when we should be concentrating on generating that win.
