Louisville banned from Postseason

If the allegations are true, they should have an 8 or 9 year post season ban.
It's much, much worse than the allegations in the NOA. There is new evidence that UNC is sending all of their profit sport FR athletes to get a LD/ADHD test and telling them to fail the test on purpose. Something like 61% of their athletes have been diagnosed with LD/ADHD since they stepped foot on campus. If you know anything about LD/ADHD, you know it's usually tested for and diagnosed in grade school. It also provides said athletes with Adderall, a PED and a banned substance by the NCAA (unless you have a DR's order). UNC has their own Med School, so finding complicit DRs is no problem at all. I can get you links if you're interested. That place should be nuked from orbit. Just to be sure.

Well we are talking about the NCAA so what do you expect?
It's the only recourse the NCAA has. They have no jurisdiction over players that have long since left the program, in most cases. Until recently, the coaches had plausible deniability. I have zero problem with the NCAA punishing the current team. They were AT these sex parties! They were the recipients of the extra benefits. The best thing that can happen is that future recruits steer clear of the likes of Pitino, Calipari, Williams, Beiheim, etc, etc. If they aren't smart enough to see that history can and usually does repeat itself.....then it's a life lesson. Some lesson are hard but they're harder if your stupid.

Interesting. I'm sure the NCAA will accept any type of coverups UNC attempts.

This whole thing seems really weird and shady as far as the timing of it all. Are they punishing the team this year so that they don't take a hit in recruiting? They got VJ King signed already, he would quite possibly go elsewhere if they were banned next season. Even though college bball is having a year where anyone can win it, they are kind of doing themselves a favor in hopes that they don't get punished further by the NCAA.

Also, if they're coming down with this now, that likely means there are more details starting to surface.

Finally, when the hell does UNC either punish itself or the NCAA lays down the hammer. It seems like the NCAA is just hoping people forget about that whole scandal...because its UNC

The situation at Chapel Hill is far bigger than the NCAA. The FBI & the State Attorney General are investigating the matter. The NCAA isn't going to touch this matter. It is about systemic academic fraud. People are going to face criminal charges & jail time for this. Just like the Ronnie Harmon matter at Iowa. The NCAA didn't touch it because it was part of a huge national criminal investigation by the FBI

They would have in the past but there are U.S Congressmen that would love to pull the NCAA's tax exempt status if they don't hammer the Heels. Mark Emmert said "we aren't going back to UNC" after the Wainstein Report came out. He was invited by the Senate to explain some things to them. within 30 days of that meeting, the NCAA announced they were going back to UNC.
Then there are the 2 lawsuits against the NCAA. 1 wants to see the end of the NCAA because they believe they are corrupt. The other is suing the NCAA and UNC for defrauding 2 former UNC athletes out of the education that there scholarship promised.
Jim Beiheim is going to file a large lawsuit against the NCAA if they don't punish UNC harder than he got hit.
And there are a lot of Universities that have been sanctioned by the NCAA for much, much less, that have made their feelings known on the issue.
The above information comes from one of the lawyers that filed one of the above lawsuits.

Where are you getting this info? I follow that case very closely (because flock Roy Williams) and I have not heard mention of the FBI. I can also assure you that Roy Cooper (NC State Attorney General) will NOT be investigating the matter. He and his family are dug into UNC like tics on hound dog. All of the judges and politicians in NC have ties to UNC.
Don't get me wrong, the FBI certainly should get involved.

If indeed that is the case I'm thinking SMU v2.0. but that's only wishful thinking especially for a blue-blood of college basketball.

Lightning, if you could provide some links, I would certainly appreciate it. I would like to follow the reporting of this issue.
