As someone who monitors as best he can but does not have enough time to read a lot, it's hard to decipher which ones are fun and what ones are annoying. For me, they're all annoying. But, I get that you guys like to engage with these folks. That's why I asked.

It's an interesting study. The obvious answer is some people like the trolls and some don't. I can tell at times that they really bug some people but others, while not wanting to admit it, enjoy arguing with them and making them look dumb.

Do what you will, Rob. I don't mind a troll too much if they are funny or entertaining, but this dude is neither. I figured he'd go back to the Frost circle-jerk on the Nebraska boards by now, but whatever.

It is too bad this guy isn't cleaver or fun in any way. I mean if he had an original thought, and trolled in a creative way, then yeah keep him around. As it is he really adds nothing to the board.

You are absolutely right.
I didn't respond to linebacker thread awhile ago, (different poster) because I knew he already knew. I didn't say much in the BF we have 3 run plays thread, again because I knew BF was poking fun.
Sometimes the responses to trolling are funny, other times they allow people to feel more intelligent. Both are needed in life. I just don't respond much to that or this stuff really because, while I do get a chuckle sometimes out of the posts, I have no ego to feed, to make me feel as though I know something maybe others don't.
I understand that need however.
If this idiot is dumb enough to try and push people's buttons, I say he gets whatever you decide. However letting the wolves tear him apart does indeed give them some degree of satisfaction and sharpens their football knowledge at the same time.
Yin and yang I suppose.
Personally I think there are better ways to educate and converse, but to each his own.
