Lmar Odom is mentally weak.

I mean what a p ussy. Unless he is dealing with some severe depression there's no excuse.

i believe he buried 2 or 3 family members this yr and one was a cousin he was really close too. also he never really got a role with the mavs because they have dirk who is a better version of lamar. odom will find a team next yr and do well in the right situation. he was 6th man of the yr just last season.

He is dealing with some severe depression. His cousin was murdered this summer. The day after Odom attended that funeral, he was a passenger in a car accident that caused the death of a 15 year old pedestrian. These tragedies have brought back memories of the death of his son five years ago. Sure, maybe he could handle things better than he has so far, but I think giving him the benefit of the doubt for the way he has acted (and largely, the issue has been his inaction lately) is prudent.

Unless you had some pretty bad depression problems or anxiety issues in your life....You prob shouldn't call someone out.

That's why I said UNLESS. Looks like some severe depression going on to me, but just wasn't sure. I didn't know about the stuff with his son, and cousin. I did hear about his driver hitting someone. Anyway, I feel for him. I don't think he should of demanded the Lakers to trade him when the CP trade didn't work. I don't think he should get paid the $8 mill he's owed if hes not playing. Sounds like an emotional wreck...

lamar getting paid not to play is the mavs trying to do right to a guy they traded for. he cant play in the playoffs for a team that would pick him up if they released him and this way he doesnt get on a rival team and cause havoc for the mavs. it is best for both parties as he can train and look forward to next yr and they dont have to worry about him with them or someone else.

LOL do you really believe this? They aren't paying him because they feel bad for him, the Mavs are ****** at him and rightly so. Cuban questioned his manhood at halftime of the game before they told him to get out. They didn't release him because he's got a contract that expires next year and can be a valuable trade piece.

Odom is a p-ussy, he had some bad luck, too bad. You know else who had some bad luck? The girl he was with for over a decade and had three kids with and another who died as an infant then was left to raise those kids alone after Lamar ran off to be with a fat fake celebrity who wasn't even good enough for Rashad McCants.

people are quick to call lamar a p*ssy but they couldnt do the job he does half or a quarter as well as he does. so i guess that means those people are bigger p*ssies than he is. you dont know him dont make personal attacks. he struggled and wasnt ready for the season that is true. he didnt find a fit in dallas either. but he is still a solid nba player and he will show that next yr.

by doing right by him i meant that they are doing the financially best thing for themselves and it happens to coincide with the best thing for him also.

Lamar has a sugar mama, he doesn't need the money.

How will he cause havoc for the Mavs? Have u seen him play this year? He hasn't caused havoc for anyone. I think he is a product of Phil's system, he's overrated. Again, I feel for his depression issues, but I think he really f'ed up when he threw a tantrum after hearing his name in trade talks. He then got emotional and demanded a trade, which put him in a worse place mentally than he already was. Again, the dude is a mental midget...it's too bad.

I'm not a big NBA fan, and never was a big Odom fan (a Kardashian?...please show a little better judgement).

But the dude has been through a lot...give him a break.

They are doing what's best for the team, if they could, I'm sure they would love to not pay him a dime.

So your calling out people who you don't know? Guess that makes you a p-ussy too chief.

Lamar got sad because LA was going to trade him, he threw a fit, the Lakers sent him and out he played like a little ***** all year in Dallas.

i know i cant do his job as well as him but others act like he is terrible from one bad yr. it happens. did he throw a fit when they tried to trade him? yes but so what so would others no reason to get all uppity.

You are the one who is getting uppity, good sir! Lamar Odom got traded from a team that got swept in the second round to the defending champs. Most players would find it within themselves to play hard most nights, it's called being a professional. Lamar Odom, instead, decided to just quit. I think that's about the definition of being mentally weak, you don't like the situation, just give up.

ICborn doesn't have a clue what previous trauma can do to current situations in your life. Go do some research on triggers and deppresion before you spew vomit on this board. That is literally what your posts are made, of you are another example of an uneducated clown having no clue about a subject, but still flaps their gums. Here is a life lesson for you, "unless you have a clue about something, don't speak unless spoken to"
