Yep, more confirmation that what we saw Saturday was more than just finally executing... That was a big break in convention and our opponent was stunned the entire game.

Yep, he also said, repeatedly, Iowa did nothing new or unusual in their plays.

He’s blaming this on poor preparation of basic pro-style scheme. And MSU. And Michigan. And if they make it through those two who run a pro-style, then the best pro-style waits in the CG.

It was a lot about execution. Iowa broke some tendencies, but breaking tendencies without execution doesn't work. Iowa's defense played it's usual tough game. Iowa's offense executed. Almost to a man they didn't drop balls, Stanley was on target or close.

The offensive line stepped up big time. Can't say enough about the freshmen tackles. And we have these 300 pound monsters for 3 more years!!! The future is bright if they can all stay healthy.

I completely agree with the article. We executed...but I've never seen so many defenders completely out of position in one game. That was terrible. Look at Fant's first touchdown...he's ten yards clear of anyone. Blown coverage...and there were several others. These guys thought they could just show up Saturday....and they got their asses handed to them. That's what it tells me.

Very true. They weren't expecting the TE's to be so prominent, and frankly I don't think we fans were expecting it either. We have been hearing for some time how good the TE's are, but we never saw any evidence until the Ohio State game.

yeah, he illustrated how breaking your tendencies (something Iowa rarely does under kirk) can completely catch your opponent off-guard. something many folks have been begging for for a long time.

But, if we broke our tendencies, does that mean we don't have tendencies to break, meaning we can't have success breaking out tendencies?

Even more proof that Urban & Co. were just plain out coached. Osu looked like a team that just thought they would beat us with the number of recruiting stars they put on the field.

Congrats to the Iowa staff.

When your offense goes against the norm and stays on the field for extended periods of time (allowing the D to rest). Good things usually happen.

True. I wouldn’t go so far as to call it arrogant as others have.

But this is what P5 schools do in pre-conference games for the most part.

One thing I've got to say is........ that we have one heck of a brilliant coach in BF! This is a different team with BF as a coach. I watch the game and it is just an amazing football team with a bad ass uniforms. That's all folks.

NO ONE passes to a fullback...oh, crap...!!!!! Touchdown Iowa!!!!!

WTF who is the long snapper snapping to?...oh, crap...!!!! Touchdown Iowa!!!!

WTH...the tight end on a fly pattern to the corner of the endzone?...oh, crap!!!! Touchdown Iowa!!!!

Yes, the patterns were changed...along with execution...
