Let's play NOT to win again....

Here we go again. Offense incapable of doing anything due to predictable play calling and our risk aversion. Nebraska will have the D gasssed by Q3 and we will get rolled.

Groundhog's Day.

Our defensive line is already sucking wind.

I love the bubble screen call back in the middle of the field where there is 8 or nine guys. Mcnutt looked like wtf.

Please explain the logic behind your post. I'd like to see where we are playing "not" to win. What coach actually tells his players, "Ok guys, its been a good year so far, but I want us to NOT win this game. Thats right, we are going to lose it on purpose."

Not so much predictable (well, the obligatory run for 2 after a 1st down incompletion) but more a case of just plain unnecessary crap on 1st down.

You're driving and go to an end around. You're driving and try a bubble screen. These plays take waaaay too long to develop against a fast, experienced defense. Not to mention, when was the last time Iowa executed a bubble screen with any success -- 2006?

Just more complete ineptitude by K.O.K. Since Ferentz will never fire his incompetent azz, can he be impeached? A petition maybe?

Good Lord!!

explain your logic they just went to half with 2 timeouts.

Have you watched when the offense had the ball? "Hey guys we flipped field position again...great job...just what I wanted out of you."

The game plans guys...wake up. You can see what KF is trying to do...15 play drives, run the ball 12 times a drive. Keep the ball from them...but oh wait our best athletes are receivers. We do have that bubble screen though.

Did you see the reverse to McNutt...when the TE cut back across the formation to block and the Safety came up screaming to make the tackle. Yeah he saw them run that on film 30 times this year out of the same formation with the same motion. It's called predictability.

I find it hilarious that you guys actually think the game plan is to stall on offense and keep the defense on the field....you DO realize that players are actually playing on the field and this isn't some video game, right?

No, Cib. The Hawks (and the coaches) are obviously playing to cover the spread. I know you can't see it, but that is really what is going on!

When would u have liked to use the timeouts?

A lot of times a good coach will use them at the end of the half when the other team is trying to run the clock out before the inevitable touchdown or field goal. That way you have maybe a min and a half to possibly get a field goal attempt. See it all the time in the NFL.

I thought the NFL wanted him so bad but gosh he just wanted to stay here for 750K more a year. Shouldn't he have known that...since he was such a shoe in for a job there.

And sometimes, you don't call the timeouts in case there is a penalty on the D and that gives more time for the offense to score. Works both ways.

Do you think that? Cause there are many on here that do.
I know. I think most who get upset are people who bet on the Hawks (either legally or illegally). If they really think the coaching staff doesn't want to win, I question whether they have played sports in their lifetime.
