Let's play NOT to win again....

Please explain the logic behind your post. I'd like to see where we are playing "not" to win. What coach actually tells his players, "Ok guys, its been a good year so far, but I want us to NOT win this game. Thats right, we are going to lose it on purpose."

When you don't try to score points, what message are you sending your team? Is this really the best KF and KOK can do? NE has given up yards all year, but we make them look like the freaking Ravens. The D is playing their butts off and the O can't do anything.....so predictable.

Do I need to get crayons out and draw you a picture?

I know. I think most who get upset are people who bet on the Hawks (either legally or illegally). If they really think the coaching staff doesn't want to win, I question whether they have played sports in their lifetime.

That's an interesting take...apparently you were some huge sports star with infinite knowledge of coaching.

Anyways I am in neither of those categories...

And most people aren't saying they aren't playing to win. They are playing to keep it close again...and in doing so we will not keep up with Nebby. And anyways I believe in games decided by 7pts or fewer KF has a .500 or worse record...so hows that working out for you.

Great if that was your batting average.

And sometimes, you don't call the timeouts in case there is a penalty on the D and that gives more time for the offense to score. Works both ways.

Ummmm...there was plenty of time for Nebby to score...that's why they were just running up the middle. They were gaining yards and letting the clock run under a min. That's when you use them on D.

Not a huge sports star at all. I just know when teams take the field, they are trying to win. Even when Georgia State plays Alabama. Really.

I agree that KF's style is to play close to the vest (especially on the road) to give the team a chance. It doesn't always work out. Last week it did. This week, not looking good at all.

And, the thread name is what I responded to.

I just want them to play with some effing passion. We have very rarely seen any this year. Where does that start?

Um, say there was PI instead of the TD (for example). Then, there's 1:30 left for Nebby to score instead of 30 seconds. It's a gamble for sure, but you see it all the time.
