Let's mix up some Kool Aid! (data pointing to Iowa success)

21 is a lot, particularly for Iowa. the concerning thing that jumps out at me is that our qb had 1/3 of them. that tells me our pass pro was not good and our qb was getting smashed, or he has fumble-itis. either, that needs to be fixed asap.

Early in the season Stanley had a bad case of haven't-taken-a-snap-in-a-live game-itis. Much of that has already been taken care of over the course of last season.

Our wr's need to practice routes, but are improved. Shoot for synchronicity with Nate. Our Ol is a bit unpolished.
Was pleasantly surprised by the backfield and that the DL played well, IF IT WAS AGAINST AN UNPOLISHED OL. Ie: both have work to do.
Backs are good. QBs looked pretty sharp.
LB is in a state of flux, but they seem to be in a very fierce competition, so I am cautiously optimistic.
Oh and Te are solid.

All in all, a C+ but a high C+. Because you know how spring games are. Far from the finished product and rarely show you everything.

National rank for 20+ yard pass plays during the Greg Davis tenure: 110th, 85th, 60th (2014), 51st (2015), 113th, 85th.

KOK's last 2 years (the only years for which I found data): 52nd, 28th

Last year: 85th.

See, we're making progress, we improved from 110th to 85th! With KOK in the house, I see top 50 this year easy.

Greg davis was hired to paint the water tower, but... his ladder was 2 yards short

I can't wait to hear what Kirk's gonna say after junior strangles a replay official.
Good for us they have moved the replay booth to a safe place away from the stadium.

honestly, i like the passion and the emotion, as long as, it doesn't get physical. that's what sports is about. ultimate competition against yourself and others and to be successful, you have to have the right amounts of passion and emotion.

I'm thinking they did but I'm not 100% sure.
Maybe they're just doing it for Iowa games.

I do too.
I was just telling a friend that people either love being around my energy or they hate it.
But I'll clue you in, it's not just sports, from women to work and to life itself, if you don't bring passion you won't go far.
I have a very inquisitive mind, but I don't know anything in the grand scheme of all there is to know.
I've watched elderly people's health decline because once it's just them and the kids are gone they lose the passion to cook full and healthy meals. They start eating stuff that's easy and not so good for young people much less the elderly.
I've watched extremely bright children fall between the cracks because their passion isn't realized or properly focused.
Life is passion.
You go to games where you can feel it in the air, or as KF said "an energy or vibe", that's a bunch of people rooting with...... Passion.
So I will never look down on someone for having passion, that's my tribe!!
As long as a person can focus it and it doesn't actually hurt another, well that's called being responsible with it.

Btw I didn't know anything about them moving the replay booth. See, I try to know things, but it gets difficult, because most people are talking out their bung holes.
I rather enjoy intelligent conversation, but in today's world, that seems to be harder and harder to find.
Maybe life is backwards and we should go to college when we get older, if nothing else to open and expand our minds.

How does this relate to someone throwing a profanity laced temper tantrum because he didn't get what he wanted?

Like you've never done it??
He didn't hurt anyone.
I've seen people start swearing at all sorts of things, snow blower won't start or garage door frozen shut, going to be 10 minutes late.
People fly off the handle all the time, from work related stuff to simple stuff.
So I'm not going to judge him that. If anything it shows he's human. One with passion and focus.
Now if I seen him kick his dog for crapping in the house, or throwing a garden tool because it's not working properly, I might be concerned.

Yeah, when I was like 8 years old. Maybe someone needs to test the water where you live.

It's not like he's running a country and when talking about a passion for women he says you have to grab them by the cootchie.
Sad day when a college football coordinator is held to a higher standard then the president of the United States.
Maybe this is why I have a hard time finding intelligent conversation out there.
If any of these coaches did or said a fraction of what the commander-in-chief has, they would be run out of town.
