I'm sure the staff would agree with tightening up the rotation more. It's just too bad that the bigs haven't really had anyone separate themselves consistently enough to make it an easy decision. Between Cook, Pemsl, Wagner, Uhl, and Kriener they are all just so inconsistent that game to game nobody knows who'll be the most effective.
The guards it's easier and more cut and dry. It's JBo and Jok with Moss, Ellingson and Williams sprinkled in. Moss I hardly consider a starter. He don't play starter mins (which is part of the issue here)
Now the one guy I haven't touched on is Baer. He's the utility knife. He'll pretty much always play a lot and yet sporadically depending on how he's playing and flow of the game.
Not sure what the easy answer is. As soon as you say Cook and pick another big to start and play a lot of mins one of them will get in foul trouble early and the other one will be having an off day. Obviously Cook is who we'd like to see play more mins but he's not really earned them with his defense or rebounding. None of them have. So I almost think Fran should throw a dart at the board and pick one and just try. Uhl and Kriener can shoot outside 15 feet anyway. Pemsl and Wagner pass up 8 footers for crying out loud. So for floor spacing purposes maybe pick between those first two guys I mentioned to start with... This last game I thought showed some offensive issues not just defensive. We have to have guys that can put the ball in the hoop out there. I think Uhl and Kriener with more mins to get in the flow of the game can maybe do that.... Just a thought.
