Led Wadley play

I think Daniels just needs to get healthy. I remember Canzeri looking bad when he was banged up.

My $.02 - Canzeri is playing well but needs a breather obviously.

1.) Daniels' is injured thus ineffective, needs rest to heal, and shouldn't be playing right now.
2.) Mitchell - sounds like he is injured as well.
3.) Wadley should not be on the field IMO - I don't care how talented - he can't hang on to the ball. A good wind gust like there was in Madison would cause him to fumble.
4.) Not sure what Joly has and already redshirted.
5.) Graham - I'm not a big fan of redshirting RBs (unless needed outside of football) and read some good things about him coming out of HS.

So, in conclusion, I would like to see Joly and/or Graham get a shot. The devil you know is better than the devil you don't know? Well, I'd at least like to be introduced.

Solution for Wadley.

Not sure if that's against the rules or not...

Look as much as Wadley has fumbled during what playing time he's received is it really a stretch to think he fumbles during practice too much also? If he's not playing at all other then garbage time then it is what it is. I'm more worried about Daniels. I mean if he's hurt enough to be slowing him down like it has then shut him down for a week or 2 and get him 100% Cause he looks like Tarzan and is playing like Jane out there. Those of you that go to the games do you go early enough to watch them warm up? I'm curious how he looks just running and cutting.

He did a good job hanging onto the ball against North Texas. I think he should get some carries against Illinois at home too. I am sure that the coaching staff is working with him on ways to reduce the fumbles, and the Illinois game should be a good one to get him in as they do not have a great defense.

Remember that the coaches DO know Joly and Graham. A common reason young backs don't see the field is to keep the QB from being killed on pass pro. And if you only bring them in on run plays, the defense will pick that up quickly. Of course, that seems to be true of Daniels already, so what do I know.

I think Wadley can see some carries from the 40 to 30 yard lines where things are opened up a bit more. Inside the 20 absolutely not, he's just not strong enough when things get physical in the red zone.

"Let Wadley play!" NO. Really like the kid. Stop fumbling. Prove to the coaching staff that you can do it.

You better get him on the field while you still have canzeri healthy, and let him get a few reps in, before you HAVE to play him.

I wouldn't mind getting Akrum a few touches. We appear to have 3-4 capable backs. As stated, priority for AW is first and foremost ball security. Would be nice to have more depth.

All true. But... do you wait for a guy to get it perfect in practice? ... or get him shot in live action? How will he learn?

If Canzeri gets dinged up, and one has to think it's a matter of time... then what? You put them in with no game experience.

Let's hope Mitchell is close to 100%. We need somebody to spell Canzeri...or do we continue to run him 22 times/game and hope that he makes it through NWestern unscathed...thinking the bye week brings back a healthy Daniels and Mitchell...alleviating the RB depth concern

Yes, that makes sense - pass pro is a bit of a concern as it is. Was thinking we could put a small package of a few plays the young RBs are comfortable executing including quick pass plays/screens/multiple TE sets. I wouldn't trust Wadley if it were my decision. But since I'm not Chris White, GD, or any of the Ferentz-es, what do I know :).
