Last Iowa QB to Throw 5 TD's?

Iowa doesn't have very many rushing TD's which has an odd feeling. Kind of backwards so far this year. Will iron out though.

The weird disparity between rushing and passing TDs is just random more than likely. I'm kinda hoping it stays this way tho because it will mean we have playmakers scoring from a ways out.

Yea, I didn't say I didn't like it, it's just peculiar and shows that BF may be more aggressive. I like it. It's a good sign.

I'm hoping there is something to it more than randomness. Either more aggressive coaching or better playmakers. Either one is fine by me. Better than always running it in because we can't get more than 5 yards per play.

I hope opposing DCs keep loading the box to try and stop our run. Stan the man has proven 8 times in 2 games he can find the open guy and take advantage of that. The kid has good vision to go with that strong arm.

Loved John and Deace's podcast post-game. I was having a discussion with a guy who identified himself as a 20 year coach who absolutely RAILED on me when I insinuated that sometimes I think KF and staff play the guy they like better especially when close. Miller and Deace just said the same thing! If the guy who blew me up for suggesting that please come forward and let me insert my foot in your arse.

I have no doubt there was some of that with the Jake Christensen situation. I think KF knew his dad from the NFL days and I feel KF felt a bit committed to play him or give him more of a chance. I could be wrong, but I've always wondered that.

Can't find the info for Matt Rodgers, but since then Sherman, McCann, Banks (one was in OT vs PSU though, only 3 in regulation), Tate, Christensen, Stanzi, and Vandenberg all had 4 TD games at least once. Chandler, Rudock and Beathard had 3 TD games, but they also were each pretty good at rushing for TDs inside the ten.
