1-3.....Indiana and Wisconsin are playing much better than us. But, Iowa is 13-0 at home and will have their backs against the wall a bit. I look for a split here.
Iowa will not win at OSU or at Michigan. Both will be fighting for NCAA tourney positioning and Iowa does not have it in them right now like they did at Purdue and at Michigan St.
Best case 2-2.
Big Ten Tourney 1 win and 1 loss.
2nd round win in the NCAAS and 3rd round exit.
0-4. Kids won't come back after tonight, too scared to really get after it, and I think Fran gets soft at times when the games are on the line...just my observation over the past few games. I hope I'm wrong.
With the week off hopefully Fran will look at his game planning more carefully.
I kind of think maybe Sapp will give the crew a come to Jesus meeting. I get the feeling he isn't happy about how things are currently going.
If they can get mentally refocused and physically refreshed I can see them winning all four games.
However that's a lot of ifs. Assuming they don't make some mental changes and maintain status quo, probably one win if they are lucky.
Must play better defense, have some more scoring/solid games out of Adam, Mike, Sapp, and some help from the bench. I guess that's quite a bit to ask for.
I'm starting to think this team just played above their skill level for a long time. Sometime teams go on hot steaks. We went on one at the right time against the right teams. We shot uncharacteristically well at MSU for instance.
Now we're regressing to the mean a bit. Were seeing the Iowa that was supposed to be on the bubble. Having said that were still in position to at least share the title and bubble teams could still go 2-2 or 3-1 with the games we have remaining. That could still be enough. I think the team and myself as well could use the week off so I'm going to avoid college bball for a bit.
