Lambeau Field wants big ten title game

Sorry GB...but the Big10 Title Game will probably be in prime time and NOT in Lambeau, at night, in December...my guess is Indoors, in Indy.

I don't see Lambeau even figuring into this equation.

Three most likely sites.
Detriot- I sure hope not.. But better odds than Lambeau
St. Louis-Which I would just love to see happen. This would Favor Iowa more than Lambeau.
Indianapolis- Most likely IMO.

Why St. Louis though? The state of Missouri has no conference ties, so why should they benefit from the conference?

St. Louis ain't happening.

I like the idea of playing it on the frozen tundra of Lambeau, but mostly because I like the phrase "frozen tundra of Lambeau".

No chance. None. Not gonna happen

the game will be played in a domed stadium --

think RCA Dome; Ford Field
There is more of a chance at Lambeau Field then at the RCA Dome, considering that the Dome was imploded in 2008.

That would be one hell of an atmosphere there, I like a Soldier Field option too. But I think you're right, my guess would be Indy too.

i would love to see the championship game be played outside. thats what big ten football is all about

What isn't to like about Lambuau? It's biggest than every other venue that has been mentioned, and is one of the most historic stadiums in sports. Sure, there would be some logistical problems, but those could be sorted out easily enough.

Unless they have it in a dome (please no), the game is going to be outdoors regardless of venue - if the game is in Indy, the roof will be open.

Players and fans would both be geeked about seeing a game at Lambeau - can you imagine seeing Penn State playing Iowa for the Big 10 crown at Lambeau Field? Sign me up, buddy.

i agree 100%

If it is the championship game for the conference it should be in a big time city.

And if you are entertaining the thoughts of having it outside then it is hands down Chicago.

Inside it is hands down INDY.

i agree 100%

Really, the only argument against it is that there might not be enough hotels in and around Green Bay to accomodate visiting fans. The facility itself is one of the best in the league.

The weather is a non-issue. If the NFC Championship can be played in -10 temps, surely the Big Ten can be decided in the mid-20's.

i guess it would be nice to be in chi town too because of more hotel space. it just needs to be outside in a midwest city...sioux falls south dakota would be great we had a football field that would hold more than 17 thousand ppl lol

It will rotate from Ford, RCA.... Mayyyyyyyyyybe Soldier. No way Big Ten is going to put it too far one way to favor schools.... like the SEC in Atlanta and Big 10 jr's in Dallas

I agree with you. I like the idea of an outdoors game.

I also like the Lambeau idea, because it would be easy for me to get there and watch Iowa win :)

I never said it wouldn't be fun...just that it won't happen.

The same reason they don't want to play night games in November...possibly horrible weather.

You could get the same thing in Indy or Chicago. The biggest difference between the three is hotel rooms.

Weather should not be an issue in the Big Ten Championship game. This ain't the SEC, brother.
