In case the above won't open for you, here's a copy and paste from the article. (All the highlighting is in the Hawk Central article)

Iowa women’s basketball has landed Georgia Tech point-guard transfer Chazadi “Chit-Chat” Wright. Wright arrives in Iowa City after starting 12 contests last season as a freshman, averaging 7.2 points, 2.6 assists and 2.2 rebounds in 25.3 minutes per game on a Georgia Tech team that reached the NCAA Tournament.

The 5-foot-5 guard hails from Atlanta and was originally ranked as ESPN’s No. 49 overall prospect in the 2024 class — interestingly sandwiched between Ava Heiden (No. 42 overall) and Aaliyah Guyton (No. 58 overall). Guyton transferred to Illinois on April 12 and created Iowa’s point-guard void Wright is hoping to fill.

Her April 23 commitment comes just five days after Jensen hired former Yellow Jackets assistant LaSondra Barrett to replace the departed Raina Harmon.

(Comment: So new coach Barrett essentially brought Wright along with her!)

So what's the verdict? Is she better than Guyton?

Well, she was ranked slightly higher, and she played more minutes last year for a team that was comparable to Iowa.

She scored roughly the same as Guyton on a per minute basis, but she had 50% more assists per minute, and she had fewer than half as many TOs per minute. Wright also had more than 2x as many steals on a per minute basis.

They shot roughly the same from the field, but Guyton was better from 3FG (37% vs. 32%). However, Wright was significantly better from the FT line (89% vs. 67%), which is a pretty good indicator of future potential as a shooter.

Also, GT fans seem bummed about losing Wright, and Iowa fans seem pretty meh about losing Guyton.

Seems like an upgrade.

Plus Chit-Chat Wright is a top 3 all-time name in Hawkeye sports.

Sounds like a perfect fit. A true, pass first point guard who is ultra quick and leads with defense.

Hits on all the needs.
