LA monroe tv?

ON THE AIR
Radio: Iowa games are broadcast on the Hawkeye Radio Network. Gary Dolphin handles the play-by-play, along with color commentator Bob Hansen. The network includes more than 40 stations that blanket the state of Iowa and include portions of Illinois, Nebraska, Minnesota, Missouri and Wisconsin. The Hawkeye Radio Network coverage includes a 60-minute pregame show.
Television: Mediacom Connections will televise Tuesday's game in Eastern Iowa. Rob Brooks and Mac McCausland will call the action. Hawkeye fans can also view the game live online at video.bigtennetwork.com.

I still don't understand why the BTN can't televise HOME games when they involve Big 10 teams. I know football is a bigger sport in terms of revenue, but an alternate channel or two wouldn't hurt during bball season. No way am I paying $8 a month to watch one game online.

I'm with you, I refuse to pay to watch online. I was hoping there would be a stream on justin.tv or some site but it doesn't look like it.

Same here.. Plus it sounded like some people paid the money for the online streaming to watch the exhibition, and it stopped working after a couple of minutes.. So apparently they are out the money. That is totally unacceptable and I refuse to pay for what used to be free anyway. It's really not the money ($8 isn't going to break the bank), it's the principle!

Whatever happened to channelsurfing.net? I remember watching streaming of our games a couple years ago, but they never seem to have our games. They have other hoops games, just not ours for some reason. Did BTN put the hammer down on them?

Exactly. There are a ton of games on channelsurfing.net, I'm assuming you're right...Big Ten Network put the clamps down so they can get rich 8 bucks at a time.

If I paid for it and it still didn't work I'd be irate.

I'm not always a fan of ESPN but at least they have espn3 for free. ESPN is not Unicef, they're in business to make money. I think BTN is really missing out on potential online ad revenue.

Online stream worked great for me, no glitches, nothing. I'm watching the intro to the game right now. I figure $4 for a game is cheap.....

Yeah, like the other poster said it's not a lot of money, it's just the thought of paying for something that I think people should get for free. I just won't pay for it. I feel the same way about sex and bottled water.

Sorry to burst your bubble, you alway pay for it.....one way or another! :p

THe BTN is def missing out on some big revenue opportunities. Not everyone is able to get the BTN in the country so if they just marketed hard on ESPN and made it free online, they could just load it up with a bunch of Rotel and barbarsol commercials and advertisements.
