Kyle Meyer Arrested for Public Intox

I can see if he was driving while drunk, or in a car drunk with a driver thats drunk. If he was drunk and disorderly. Drinking where you live is pretty tame, and hopefully, he will learn from the experience. I knew a guy in the army that had around thirty shots of tequilla, and his friends threw him in his bed, and his arm landed behind his head. The guys arm had his blood circulation cut off and he could barely use it for a long time. There are a lot worse things that can happen to someone when they are bombed out of their minds. There are a lot of thoughts on the matter, but I still think its pretty normal for an eighteen year old guy to do something pretty stupid the first time he is away from home. When Meyer did his stupid thing, at least he wasn't hurting anyone, but himself.

It doesn't matter how common it is, it is still illegal.

Has Anyone who has posted on this thread ever drunk a beer or an alcoholic beverage while under age. If anyone who has has demeaned Kyle, then he is a Hypocrite. You know what a hypocrite is, don't you...... 1. a person who pretends to have virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles, etc., that he or she does not actually possess, especially a person whose actions belie stated beliefs. 2. a person who feigns some desirable or publicly approved attitude,
especially one whose private life, opinions, or statements belie his or her public statements.I will
not lower myself to give my opinion of Hypocrites......

"youth is a fault, that improves daily with age"!

I don't think its a crime that he got arrested, but I do think its to bad he got caught. I comment the police for doing the right thing, but whoever called the police, to me, is the real slimeball. No matter how alluring drinking seems to an eighteen year old guy, it will never really add anything to his life unless he learns from the experience.

I got that drunk 2 years ago for the Iowa / ISU game. I passed out on my bathroom floor. My wife didn't call the police, she just called her parents who came over to laugh at me. Her dad still has pictures on his phone from that little event. Pretty sure I'll never hear the end of that one.

No, the only one at fault here is Kyle Meyer. Not a single person did a thing wrong, except Kyle Meyer. It is Kyle Meyer's fault he got wasted, passed out, and got arrested.

And for the record, I never once drank alcohol before I was 23 years old. However, that fact is not fueling my criticism of Kyle. In fact, I only passed out drunk once in my life, and although I didn't get arrested, I was punished a hell of a lot worse than Kyle was.

On behalf of boozers everywhere, thank you for being a sheltered friendless dork who didn't drink. Moar booze for the rest of us!!

So then you were probably a virgin until at least 23 as well I assume. Pusscakes.

I was a virgin until I was 25. I already discussed this.

Not because I was sheltered (not at all) or friendless (maybe a little), but because I was pretentiously straight edge. You know how a teenager will read a book and then become annoyingly transfixed with the message and start to act like it because they're an idiot? Some people do it with Catcher in the Rye, others do it with Atlas Shrugged, or, if really annoying, For Whom the Bell Tolls.

I did it with a book about the anti-apartheid punk scene called American Skin.

I don't .................. I don't know how to thank you for this.

Oats should read my wife's memoir. She was ultimate punk...locked up in a freakin' cult for 16 months in her teens.

Did she really publish a memoir? If so, I'd be interested, not so much in the cult stuff, but the later chapters :)
