Cue the requisite "great, another MAC recruit" response. Just thought i would beat them to it.

Sure appears to be the foundation of a solid recruiting class.

Take that university of directional Iowa!

I don't know why anyone would bash a walk-on with that response, it doesn't make sense. He isn't guaranteed a scholarship.
I don't either. That being said, I am shocked that one the $**t for brains posters on this board hasn't complained about it yet.

Agreed, some people can't be happy about anything. This kid is getting the chance to live his dream of playing Iowa football but he still has to earn a scholarship.

I couldn't agree more. Let's rag on the individuals that decide to play at Iowa that aren't even taking a scholoarship to do so. Brilliant mentality.

I see no good reason to bash a kid that wants to follow his dream and walk on at Iowa. He passed up a full ride at UNI.

I think this says alot about this kid. He believes in himself enough that he has to work enthic an the drive to excel and compete to the point that he would get a scholarship. Those are the types of players Iowa needs walking on. Not saying that the past walk-ons didn't, just making a point.

Guys like this are very important to the program, even if they never see the field. We need players that still view walking on at Iowa more important that taking a full or partial ride somewhere else.

It also is a good sign that we don't have to use a scholarship to get these guys on the team.

Agreed, this is a very good sign. Although, depending on how the last 5 days go until NSD, Iowa could still end up with a few of these guys on scholarship.

I wouldn't mind if Iowa found a guy who wants to walk on who is a DE, seems like walk-ons are more often than not LBs. Or maybe I just notice the LBs more.

What kind of dip **** knocks a high school kid for choosing to attend Iowa and play football? Sometimes people on this forum need banned for their pure stupidity.

I've fricking had it. I am walking on and I urge all of HN to do the same. Lets show the state our dedication to this team. Could you imagine if 600 out if shape fat beer bellied old men enrolled and showed up for walkouts...hi Kurt, here we are.
