My point is you think he's awful only because of the Ferentz at the end of his name, and it leads you to froth at the mouth over behavior that is commonplace in the coaching ranks.

1) Opinion.
2) What would you call a 35 year old guy pounding on the door of the replay booth officials? Immature sure seems like the right word to me.
3) What do you call taking tax payer money to live in low income housing, that you have no right to? This also falls under the "entitled" portion.

2) What exactly is the difference between that and a coach yelling at the officials from the sideline? Has Brian done ANYTHING else to warrant the immature title? My original point was people ignore or even admire similar actions from other coaches, but when a Ferentz does it, certain people lose their minds.
3) If they tried to justify it by saying they were trying to save money or that he deserved it it would be entitled. They owned up to it and it was no longer an issue. AGAIN, my original point was it was a bad idea, but not with sinister motives. People make mistakes.

2) What exactly is the difference between that and a coach yelling at the officials from the sideline? Has Brian done ANYTHING else to warrant the immature title? My original point was people ignore or even admire similar actions from other coaches, but when a Ferentz does it, certain people lose their minds.

I've also seen him chasing officials down the sideline running his mouth, until KF had to reel him in. It's immature and childish. I've seen KF yelling at officials but nobody has ever had to hold him back like a child.
3). Make excuses all you want. It was wrong. He had no right to that financial aid and he knew it. It wasn't "sinister" and I never claimed it was. It was stealing. Taking something that doesn't belong to you is stealing. Simple as that.

I completely see the disaster. But there isn’t shit any of us can do to stop it. You better be ready to either throw your gear in the river or root for a perennial 5 win team. Those are your two choices.

Or just rake leaves and watch the DVR’d game if they win.

Just my two cents but I kinda wonder if Iowa's strength coach calls it quits along with Kirk. He as much as any is responsible for the program's success. I'm assuming he sticks around while his kid is at Iowa, but will he have the same relationship with Brian as he does with Kirk.

Saying Brian stole money is pretty extreme, we have no idea how much support Kirk gave to his kids after high school. Some parents think their kids need to make it on their own. Kirk's money is not Brians.

Jesus man, he was living in a place his friends were living. It probably had more to do with what his friends could afford than what he could.
