Kiss CJB Goodbye!

I'll admit I was very wrong. Based on the limited evidence, I didn't think there was a huge overall gap between CJ and JR. I was wrong, very wrong.

That said. Defense, Tackling, Angles, Coverage. ....today...is what lost this game.

It all just sucks.

I don't think there's any sort of certainty that he's gone. He played more of the snaps today, and outperformed Ruddock by a large margin. At this point Im sure he won't be straight up told he's the starter next year (because KF isn't like that) but he should have a good idea.
 
Ferentz needs to promise CJB that he'll start and play him at least two full games next fall of the 4 non-con games. That's the only fair thing to do, and probably the only way to get him to come back. Of course, what he really should do is just go ahead and name him the starter.

I hope he goes. KF doesn't deserve him on any team he's a part of.

I really think KF is suffering from some form of dementia. And I'm not trying to be funny. He made a couple of comments on the post game that made zero sense at all. Almost as if he were talking about another game.
 
I'm afraid you're probably right, but I hope he stays...he's our best hope for improving in '15. That said, this team is like a rudderless ship... No leadership, No Identity, No Heart, No Vision... That is lack of coaching and it starts at the top.

I hate to say it, but it's too late for KF and I don't see it changing without starting over.
Gary Barta needs to start earning his paycheck! How long before he recognizes it?:mad:

Seeing how the game was managed and KF's comments after the game there is no way CJ starts again, even if he stayed. Kirk has a big man crush for JR that is very intense, and growing. Oh my, next year will be rock bottom!

Why would CJ need a police escort out? In today's age of social media, if KF or Barta think they can keep a lid on CJ by denying him a media request....they are dumber than donkeys.
 
Iowa needs to take a good look at the new QB's coming in next year. The schedule is favorable again and 2015 can be used as a training year for the new QB. IA should still be good enough to make a bowl going into 2016 we now have the QB for the future with experience. There is just not enough with either QB that played today to say we can win a championship with either one.
 
Neither QB is the answer, IA has several QB's coming in next year. 2015 is a favorable schedule and should be good enough to get to 6-7 wins with Boyle or another one of the incoming QB's this would also give the 2015 QB a year of experience and continuity going into 2016. Neither of the QB's today showed they are championship caliber, CJB was better but I don't see him as the "answer". He (might) be the better option but not the answer.
