Kirk probably didn't care for this McCall Facebook post

McCall probably has a point after KF promised he'd get in. Guess when you're young you don't have that mechanism in your brain that prevents you from saying or writing how you really feel about something that could get you in trouble.

What if he didn't until now Jon!! Thanks, now he won't travel for bowl game either and that is straight bull**** too!!! Delete this post before it gets back to the Captain!

I dont think it has to just be when you are young. My guess is if your boss read something like that, it might not go over well either ;)

Hope this does not cost him a bowl trip, unless your really wanting him to transfer Kirk. Talk about a lame excuse to suspend somebody...total ********

When did Ferentz PROMISE he would get some PT? The only thing I heard Ferentz say is that they were going to try and work him back in.

People....this post was before and after the Michigan game. Whatever he was suspended for was after his one carry in the Purdue game.

Posting stuff about your employer on Facebook can and has gotten people fired. It probably would be a good lesson for him to learn now.

Kirk Ferentz isn't well-versed with the "interwebs". He doesn't even know how to text. It is reasonable to believe that this was brought to his attention just recently and suspended McCall as soon as he found out.

Jon - just a question, apropos of nothing. If I posted something about Hawkeye Naiton on facebook, would I get banned? Through the bowl game, or just through Nebraska?

Back on topic. I have no problem with the suspension. Airing your dirty laundry in public is poor form. Even for an 18 year old.

If this is really the reason, it's good news IMO.

As long as McCall learned his lesson there is no reason to keep him out for the bowl practices/bowl game.

I personally liked this joke that was below the BHGP article. Maybe it's posted in the forums here somewhere...maybe not.

A Texas fan, a Nebraska fan, and an Iowa fan were out riding horses one day. At one point, the Texas fan pulled out a bottle of expensive bourbon, took a long swig, threw the bottle to the ground, pulled out a pistol and shot it. “What are you doing?â€￾ asked the Nebraska fan. “That was perfectly good whiskey.â€￾ “In Texas, we have more whiskey than we need,â€￾ said the Longhorn fan, “And bottles are cheap.â€￾ They rode along for a while, and the Nebraska fan pulled out a bottle of champagne, opened it, took a swig, threw down the bottle, pulled out his pistol and shot the bottle. “What are you doing?â€￾ asked the Iowa fan. “That was perfectly good champagne.â€￾ “In Nebraska,â€￾ said the Husker fan, “We have more champagne than we need, and the bottles are cheap.â€￾ They rode along for awhile, and then the Hawkeye fan pulled out a bottle of beer, drank the whole thing, put the bottle back in his saddlebag, pulled out his pistol and shot the Nebraska fan. “What are you doing?â€￾ asked the Texas fan. "In Iowa, " replied the Hawkeye fan, “we have more Husker fans than we need, but bottles are worth a nickel a piece.â€￾
:D

Most of the firings at the Fortune 500 company I work for happen because of social media (yes I know, "pathetic"). Since all companies are highly political, social media does all their dirty work for them.
