Kinnick color idea:

"Four Corners of Color" NE & SW corners wear gold with black pom poms, NW & SE corners wear black with gold pom poms. that way when we do the I-O-W-A chant we can all be in unison and look pretty amazing with the pom pom's waving on third and long.

Using this picture i would have the sections broken down like this (moving counter-clockwise):

sections 126 through 117 & 217 = GOLD (w/ black pom poms)
sections 216 through 106 = BLACK (w/ gold pom poms)
sections 105 through 136 = GOLD (w/ black pom poms)
sections 135 through 127 = BLACK (w/ gold pom poms)

I like the idea, however since the fans did such a good job last saturday night, Lets go out on top and quit right there.
Maybe next year we can try to get more complicated with our color scheme.

This may be unrealistic but I think it would be awesome if the crowd could pull off a giant tigerhawk

along one side , spell out "Go Hawks" on the other side, and spell out Iowa in both end zones. I'm not sure about pulling off the logo but I think spelling out words would be possible at least. Anyhow the first one was a success and that should help with participation if they try something like that again.

How about a "striped" scheme? Alternate black and gold by rows, odd numbered rows are black, even are gold.

This wouldn't work because its way more in susceptible to getting ruined by somebody not in color. The groups have to be pretty big to hide the few people that don't conform.

Hmmmm. Sounds doable, and shouldn't be any harder than what they did this year since I'm assuming you had the University being in charge of the poms. If not that, what about endzones one color and sidelines the other?

How is this more complicated? This week we were told what to wear by section. In his proposal, we are told what to wear by section. Explain how it's more difficult?
