For me the I-O-W-A chant is still the quintessential gameday tradition. There is literally nothing else like it. I'm looking forward to taking my kids to their first game next year just so they can take it all in.By far and away, by leaps and bounds, the best intermission in Kinnick Stadium other than the wave is the Freddie Mercury's Ay-Oh from Live-Aid '85. When the Hawks are ahead and that comes on, the place is as electric as Back in Black. I freakin love it.
ALRIGHT....
Well there's Hawkeye Elvis! Is it true that they prescribe how fans dress for most games?
black out
gold rush
stripe stadium
are there others?
How many TV billions are the B1G teams getting yearly? They would if they could. The Iowa Northern, who supplied all the equipment and most of the people, has been sold. No continued interest as far as I know.
Iowa Interstate has it's hands full with operating as a railroad. Would be cool to see their steam locomotives they have access to deployed for it on a limited or special basis. The idea was kicked around at wool spinning levels, but that's ginormous cost/effort that precludes it as reality.
