King's Antics

The Wolverines came out pushing and shoving and talking from the opening kickoff, King swung at a guy bigger than him after some guy hit him in the head. He had to step up with two new starters in the secondary who could be intimidated more easily, and a huge part of Michigan's plan is to intimidate the other team and win the mental game. Thats how they beat teams by fifty points earlier in the year and couldn't complete a pass or get a first down late in the game last night.
I was at the game and thought Michigan was a dirty team. After each play ended, it seemed like there was a Wolverine player or two pushing and shoving Iowa players. They came off as an SEC team. A reflection of their head coaches personality, cocky and arrogant.

There is a scarce supply of talented and disciplined players in high level college and in the NFL...the demographic produces lots of maladjusted, dysfunctional, violent, abusive types...risks are taken...which sometimes work and sometimes don't.

I don't know King, but hope he matures and succeeds for his own good and for the good of having a poster child talent in the NFL...who wanted to play at Iowa.

Des certainly got into the heads of Darbou and Peppers making them much less efficient.....

He has the credentials and right to play as he wants.....

He is the King

He has the right to play as he wants? Really? What about the effect it has on the team, the outcome, all the work the others do?

So...if you are good enough, powerful enough...?

What does 'playing' with emotion have to do with flipping people off, hitting people after the play, talking trash, etc..? Hesse (and others) played with the most emotion I've seen from them all year, and somehow managed to 'not' do any of these things. Your 'attitude' and obvious lack of values is a clear reminder of why this country has sunk to such a low standard and is circling the bottom of the bowl...........Thanks for your 'opinion', lol.........
DO NOT SEE IT THAT WAY.CUP HALF OR HALF EMPTY? HE BRINGS HEAT TO GAME.THAT WAS LEGAL FIGHT.CAP DOES BEST WITH BACK TO WALL.MY OPINION ONLY.STILL HE IS THE KING.

You do realize that he was playing in a football game don't you

Sissys need not apply

Football is not a game for the faint of heart

Fire and stupidity are not the same thing.

Fire and leadership are certainly good things.

Immature actions are not the same thing.

Seniors = leadership.

Good thread.

p.s. and what was that all about when he ran into his own receiver on a kick off?

So you liked CJ getting painted out of bounds by the M counterpart of King?

When he's hurting the team it's not competitive fire anymore and King even acknowledged that. I do think he went a tad too far a few times but I would rather have that than the King from last week @PSU.
I expect antics like this from ISU players....not ours.

If you want a bunch of boy scout pack leaders or knitting club secretaries....whine about a young man who goes out and sticks his face and body in front of world class athletes every day while you sit on your sofa with a nice white wine spritzer. I'll take the guy that punches you when he shows up at your door to take your wife out for dinner. Just saying. Let the guy play the way he wants to be motivated. We won right? He helped us win 12 games last year right? What does "America" have to do with getting yourself mentally prepared to compete with stud athletes? Be yourself. I'd rather my defense punch you in the mouth and spend some time in solitary confinement.

Another one of the famous HN 'crazies' is going to share his enlightening opinion, lol....And this one is an anonymous tough guy who is going to punch me in the mouth. You're a 'real' man, lol.....I don't even understand your 'argument'? " what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."

Learn it. Use it. Love it.

King has looked, all season, like he was frustrated and bored, lacking energy. I don't know who he was giving the bird to, but I'm also not sure I care. If it was the refs, then yeah, probably not smart. But he looked like the leader of the secondary that I was hoping/expecting from him all season. If that led to an unsportsmanlike conduct, so be it. He and the rest of the defense played a lights out, committed, energetic, and fiery game. That's exactly what we wanted to see. And for the record, having now watched that game twice, I can definitely say that the Michigan players were "playing" well past the whistle on more than one occasion. But the guy who retaliates is the one who gets caught.

Real original. Lol. Go back through my posts and come up with something of your own. You are about 6 weeks late on your "Billy Madison" quote. Check tape boy...done that. And I'm not punching you in the mouth. I'm a grown adult professional male. Lol I'd even throw out my 355 bench press from back in the day..but then I know that Neil O'Donnell...a qb..could bench over 400...so maybe I get whooped by a tough qb...

Is it an enlightening opinion or enlightened? Check tape and the thesaurus or dictionary.

What don't you get about my argument? Its starts at the upper left hand corner, left to right, top to bottom. A group of words makes a sentence. Winners get to do what they want is the point. Sorry if what I said hit way too close to home. They have therapists for those "feelings."

I'd give you $5 for the bullet and the gun for free but I'm afraid youd try to sell the gun for more crack and get a rotator cuff injury trying to "throw" your brains out.

Keep hating on the Hawks while pretending to not be Joe Cyclone. I know. Everybody hurts....sometimes.

Wait a minute...forget what I just said....I'm famous? Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So you guys ask the team to play with emotion and act like they care, then our best player has a great game against some kids he played against in high school and he is just owning them during and after the play and playing through the echo of the whistle and getting into their heads and talking smack and darb-oh drops some passes he usually doesn't later in the game....

and the day after we are complaining about this?

Ditto: I loved his emotion. It was about damn time we see some out of this team.

Exactly. King reacted to the swing taken by the Michigan player (that was of course, ignored) Had the official done his job, there would have been no penalty on King. This was a game won by pure emotion. King was the leader. It is a tough, emotional game. Way to go Dez!!

King has shown to be frustrated at times, but I've yet to see a play this year in which he was on the field where he looked anything other than like he was busting his balls for the team. You'd be frustrated too if you were the best tennis player in the world then got Stephen Hawking for your doubles partner in a life or death match against Andre Agassi and Pete Sampras. If you don't catch my drift I'm saying Mabin isn't very good.
