Kent St Brought The Wood.

Why in the hell are you worried about a team that Iowa doesn't play until November 6th? There are 5 more games to be played before Iowa has to worry about Northwestern.

I listened to WHO on the way home, heard some talk about Petras missing wide open receivers and IKM's fumbling. I didn't hear anything alarming about Kent State "aggressiveness" or how Fitz will exploit it, this sounds like stuff you are making up. Again, Kent State runs an up-tempo offense which, I guess, you can call aggressive. To me a style of offense doesn't make it "aggressive", teams can be aggressive in a Pro-Style offense, a run and shoot, or any other style of offense they run. Iowa defended the up-tempo offense very well even though they rarely see it.

Northwestern doesn't run an up-tempo offense they've been known to run the spread under Fitz but they have changed it up since Bajakian has been the coordinator.

Which WHO radio program are you talking about? The Learfield postgame with dolph and a some of Podolak or are you talking about Sound Off. Sound off is nothing but 2 hosts talking too much and a bunch of callers who want to bitch about shit they do not know what they are talking about or they get on to tangents about the good looking young lady in the car that passed them.

I listen to Dolph and Eddie during the game and it can be hard to listen to Dolph but Podolak has some really great insights and analysis. Podolak thought Kent ST's back 7 on defense were really pretty good, aggressive, and hard hitting. He said their 3 deep safety look made it tough to throw deep. I thought Petras completing 70% against them was pretty darn good.

Eddie thought Abrams and one other receiver they had were legit, their QB was really good and luckily the hawks Dee was able to sack and pressure that qb.

I caught the tail end of the post game, then it went to sound off.

Yeah, Kent State has a decent secondary and we knew that going in. Good to know that HawkGold was just repeating what Podolak said.

You can't sugarcoat Iowa's issues. Kent's aggressive style on both sides of the ball provide more possession opportunities. Iowa's yardage output was meh considering.

Iowa's offense allows for D's to sell out aggressively to stop certain points of an Iowa attack. Thus Kent did that and it made them appear to be more aggressive. Fitz is salivating already.

TAMU had 600 yards against Kent and played the back up qb got snaps and passes.

That said, 3 and oh when one or two losses could be in the books.
Wait, what? The backup QB, Calzada, threw one pass and it was intercepted. Their starting QB, King, had 3 interceptions. I'd hardly call that "snaps and passes". Yeah, they got about 600 yards in offense but a lot of that was negated with the 4 interceptions and the fumble they had - or did you conveniently ignore that?

Kent St also had 336 yards of total offense and had no punt return yardage, as TAMU did not punt once in the game.

Now contrast that with Iowa who did not throw an interception against the defense that was leading the nation in that stat. Iowa also limited Kent St to 264 yards while gaining 418 yards.
