Keno done?

CAAR, the difference is that you could make more cash in a failed 3 year experiment at a big school than you could in a 15 year successful run at a mid major.

It doesn't matter who the AD is. A lot of BCS programs will pull the plug after 3 years these days.

And Keno has at least a few million reasons as to why it was worth leaving a mid-major for a major job. The coach of the year award, experience as a head coach in the Big East, and a fun up and down style should be able to easily land him back at a mid-major.

So exactly where he was three years ago. Plus several million dollars.

Just ask Lick. He is chuckling on a beach somewhere sipping on a fruity cocktail.

I was very surprised when Keno landed the opportunity he did after only one year as a head coach. But that is the name of the game in this day in age. A coach has one or two good seasons and all of a sudden everyone wants him. I personally had the gut feeling that the Keno/Providence courting would end in a couple of years ...

Exactly. I hate to be the "I told you so" guy, but I never was on board with the Keno hire. Alot of people out here were pining for him, but I just never was sold. ONE good year with the previous coach's team doesn't mean anything. I wasn't sure if Keno would get it done in a big conference or not - it was just that he was completely unproven.

Drake is going to be one of the favorites in the Valley next year, don't think they will be getting rid of Phelps right now.

You're kidding right? Phelps will have another "top" recruiting class and finish below .500. I'd take Keno back in a heart beat.
