Keith Murphy Chimes In

I'd sue these mfkrs if I were Dolphin.[/QUOTE]
Deace made a really good case in the latest podcast that Dolph will do it. For as much money as Farta supposedly raises, he sure tries to give it away in the form of salaries, buyouts, and lawsuits.

All anyone cares about is what white people can do to make sure more black people get educations. Or what white people can do to make sure less black people are in jail. Why does no one ask what their parents can do. I graduated from high school because my mom didn't give me another option. I'm not in jail because I was raised to not commit crimes. If I were black and had the same mom, I would have the exact same education and I wouldn't be in jail right now.

Jail is where you go when you commit crimes. I'm not really interested what percentage of each race is in jail. I'm just hopeful the percentage of guilty people in jail is 100%.

You would be in error on several things.

A couple thoughts some have been stated earlier in the other 600 threads.

1. Dolph will never call another Hawkeye game, basketball or football. If you're deemed a racist, you are not employable. If Dolph is allowed to call football games, there would be serious questions asked of the administration.

2. University of IA will be writing a fat check to Dolph to entice him to retire or Dolph will take legal action.

3. Bobby Hansen must go too. He agreed with Dolph, I'm disappointed they Bobby is acting like Bobbie and not standing up for Dolph.

4. This will be the beginning of the end for Barta. Not sure where his contract is at (years) but he better hope it's not in 2019. That would make it convenient to get id of Barta.

There are too many distractions caused by stupidity within the administration? Fran has a problem with Dolph. Tough shit, win games. Currently Mens and womens basketball is on a high, football is on a high, life is good, but the administration is weak.

No that would not be right. whether the player was offended or not is somewhat not relevent. An apology which he sort of did is good.

Somewhat different but it is not good to retraumatize victims by forcing the to talk to offenders. I doubt he was traumatized in the traditionsl sense. Likely at most it was not pleasant. But who knows.

Holy smokes. Simply...wow.

Absolutely, and it's why I'm not a Christian. In fact I don't subscribe to any religion, as I'm a fan of objective reality. Which at this stage doesn't provide all the answers a curious species is seeking. And I'm okay with that. I like mysteries, and the Cosmos is the ultimate mystery never to be fully revealed, imo. One reason I despise SJWs and the left is because they have all the answers . . . 98% of which are wrong.

I don't know what you mean by "the left;" I'm a rational moderate with libertarian tendencies so I'd imagine you'd categorize me as such. What I do know, however, is that every single fkn far-right government (and far-left ones for that matter) have caused unbridled misery for the humans under their rule, and often for many others to boot. So you right-wingers can suck a fat hog and piss off too, right alongside the SJW leftists.

The issue here is intent.

Yes, comparing a huge black dude to King Kong is cringeworthy.

But that's all it is.

He clearly meant to compliment the kid.

So maybe have him issue a statement on his inartful analogy, and leave it at that.

I'd sue these mfkrs if I were Dolphin.

Oh for the record the original Social Justice Warrior was Jesus Christ, so y'all might want to reconsider that angle.

You obliterated all credibility with the last sentence...

I could be wrong but I'm thinking Hawkgold is a black man. That does not mean he isn't a racist, however. I can't speak to that.

No, he already had us weeping of his college days when he insulted a Black friend. He was really sorry. Big time. He totally cares. More than the rest of us combined.

Huh? You seem overly sensitive about this...

No, just tired of those who perceive themselves so morally and ethically self-righteous they make statements akin to, "You all don't understand Black people like I do!" and "I'm so inclusive that I hate all of you who don't think like me, because you're so stupid!"

I thought I was pretty good too.

Isnt what you just said applicable to you?

You are placing your moral standard as right.

Well Deace was right instead of talking players and games Hawk fans are infighting.

I did think Deace nailed it and we have idiots among us (management at U of I).

No good way out now.

I am a bit disappointed at the public support for Dolph from his peers/coworkers (listening Bobby/Kirk/Ed) but hopefully behind the scenes they are working it.

Keith Murphy got it right (Scwartz fumbled it).

Kudos to Jon Miller for being vocal and standing with a friend.

Is it too late to save Dolph and us from this? I for one would miss him, will not be even close to the same without him.

LMAO!!

It has everything to do with it. Couple of years ago my kid was learning to drive. She asked me to back up if she put the gear in R or D. I suggested to her that if I had to explain that she probably shouldn't be driving. She said she had it and proceeded to drive into the house when she panicked.

Explaining why being more sensitive about this, specifically having to explain why it's an issue is akin to the driving lesson incident. I shouldn't have to explain it, but you aren't ready to understand it.

But seriously you seem on the smart side. I think you know. You just don't like the answer.

The backhanded slams are unnecessary, you are trying to take this down a path that is not intended for a sports forum. We are not here to discuss the income or challenges of the black community in Waterloo. The topic is Dolphin and how a compliment is being twisted into something it's not.

The driving lesson says a lot about you. Smug, arrogant, condescending, who not only insults his daughter but would rather have her drive into the house than answer a question she obviously did not know the answer to.

You obviously have forgotten how scary it is for kids learning to drive. But no....you got to prove how superior you are.

Congratulations.

I wonder if he even realizes it? I doubt it, but this is spot on even if he doesn't realize it, well done.

If a comedian needs someone else to explain their joke, it’s not a good joke.
If a comment needs to be raceplained after days of silence, then it’s not a bad comment.

Barta and Fran have managed to ruin what should be one of the more fun seasons in years, and that makes me sad.

Congratulations.

The issue is that its a sensitive issue and it makes people uncomfortable, especially when some disagrees.

Yoh are doing the same thing you are also posting and dont like some opinions which ironically leads to both sides doing back handed shots. You being in the majoity on the topic here....welll.
