KH has officially decommitted from USF, per Steve Wiltfong. He is interested in 4 schools, and calls Iowa his favorite. Biels at Arkansas is also after him.

I wonder what the attraction to Arkansas would be, never winning a conference game... ever.

Good to hear, he looks like a good one.

Biels better win a game in the SEC soon or he may not be around after next year. Close but no cigar for the Razorbacks the last two years.

Happened to watch a little of the HS game on ESPN last nite ....the USC commit rb who was down to Iowa and USC, Ware, looked very good....damn!

I am probably more pumped about Higdon's commitment than about any other Iowa commitment in the past 3-4 years. This kid seems like he is absolutely the real deal on and off the field.

-4-star running back with fantastic size/speed combination
-4.0 GPA with Pre-Med aspirations
-Team captain who put up a 300 yard game on his Senior Night
-Was an emotional leader in his community following the death of a classmate this summer. Was at the forefront of welcoming and comforting the mother of the slain classmate at a pregame ceremony at his team's season opener this year.

Here's the full story of Higdon's classmate who was killed this past summer.

I know he isn't a Hawkeye commit just yet (knock on wood), but one guy I have gained a lot of respect for throughout the recruiting process is Karan Higdon. Not only has he been surprisingly honest, candid, and thoughtful in the recruiting process, but Higdon is also a 4.0 student who has medical school dreams. He's also a team captain and leader who really stepped up tonight for his community. Prior to their season opener tonight, Higdon's Riverview (Sarasota, FL) team honored the life of a 17-year old cheerleader who was killed recently. During a moment of silence prior to the game, Higdon consoled the mother of girl, and he also was the one to address the team and the cheerleaders in a large huddle prior to kickoff. Parenthetically, Higdon also rushed for a TD in his team's loss to Palmetto (FL).
