Kansas @ Iowa State

Game is at 8pm on ESPN in Ames. I have not heard if Kane is playing or not. Sounds like he is doubtful, I think it would be smart for ISU to hold him out, this game means little come March.

If Kane plays and seems ok, ISU wins. I don't think he will play, and still think ISU gets it done at home. ISU 75, KU 74.

What do you guys think? Does ISU stand a chance without Kane?

Give me KU.. Even if Kane plays he won't be near 100% and he's too important for this team to beat a talented KU team.

It's 2 ranked teams. As a hawk fan, college bball is fun again. These type of games affect the rankings.

If u don't care, don't click in the thread and don't be a jerk.

You are in the wrong forum. I for one am interested. Iowa doesn't play for 6 days so we're going to talk about Iowa State's game tonight. This thread title and subject matter has nothing to do with the Iowa vs. Iowa State rivalry. It is unfortunate you opened this thread thinking it was about something else. I can see where one might get confused based on the title.

I thought Iowa State would win this game a week ago. However, Kansas is starting to find their way a bit and as previous poster said Kane won't be 100% if he does play. There's always a chance at Hilton but I'm going with Kansas. Iowa State tries to outscore people rather than lock down on defense. This also helps a young Kansas team IMO.

Tough one to call, the RPI boost would be nice if ISU wins but I am not sure if I want to listen to over confident clown fans.

Would love to see KU go down. Rooting for iSu doesn't come naturally for me, but there's no doubt it helps Iowa's RPI. Plus I just really dislike Bill Self. Clones need Kain in my opinion. If he can manage the pain and be a difference maker they'll be in it.

I know you have made it your business to learn the ins and outs of the RPI over the past 12 months. Does it really impact us that much if Iowa State loses to Kansas? I thought opponents' opponents and all of that garbage was a factor...so ISU losing to a team like Kansas isn't like losing to TCU.

Kane will be near 100% it seems, and will play.

KU has played a very good schedule. KU has played in 1 real tough road venue this year, that was at Florida, and they got down big, but managed to keep it respectable at the end.

This KU team does not guard nearly as well as last years team. OU got a bunch of open 3 looks and just did not hit them. ISU at home getting open 3's, usually does not equate to a good result for the opponent.

Should be a good game. KU has great young players and they will score, just don't think they will outscore ISU in Hilton.

This is a featured evening game on ESPN. They usually put the games that people give a rip about in those spots.
