Kansas City-Area Receiver Arland Bruce IV Picks Hawkeyes

In looking at the class and future schedules, it is clear we have three division titles coming up, two conference titles and at least one playoff berth (I don't want to guarantee a natty until we fill in a few more guys in this class). Thanks for the good news, Rob.

CBs for Keagan Johnson rolling in, Brecht closing in on a decision that favors Iowa heavily, we are KILLING it

I'm only seeing one CB for Johnson but I'm also not super familiar with 247. Are you seeing something I'm not?

I have a feeling this will be Kirk's best class and he'll give us one more run with it and turn the reigns over to Brian and then O'Keefe will get promoted back to OC. It is really amazing what is going on right now!
I like the recruiting results so far but Kirk can't "turn the reins over" to his son. It is against the law since it is a public institution. There needs to be a fair hiring process which needs to include minorities, females, and others who have no chance against Brian. Then Brian can take over until his son is ready.

Bruce the IV attended Olathe North HS. That's the same HS as Isaiah Simmons, Clemson defensive star that was just drafted #8 by the AZ Cardinals.

Love this guy's highlight reel. I don't think I've seen an open field runner this good since Whatley or Ronnie were here. His change of direction without losing speed is amazing! Great vision and isn't afraid to run a guy over. This guy will be running back punts and kick-offs for as long as the coach wants him to. He can run a wildcat if Iowa ever decides to try it and gonna be a natural for the reverses and jet sweeps. He can throw the ball too. I think I've seen my new favorite Hawkeye while he's at Iowa.

My question is will Iowa take Johnson, Brecht, Bell and Bruce? I think the staff considers Bruce kind of a hybrid player so it’s possible.

I also heard on TOS that Keagan Johnson is pretty close with Fidone. Pretty good times right now on the recruiting trail.

Boy, I would love that. Ironically, I just posted today on the other thread about Johnson being one of my favorite targets in the class. He's just a natural athlete.

Brecht has been a fairly strong lean for awhile. I wouldn't be surprised if he's our next commit.

According to TOS, all of them are takes

As Bruce says in the story linked in the OP, and I like comp, he and the Iowa coaches see him as a Tyrone Tracy type.

In an interview and story I did with Johnson last month, he and the coaches see him more like ISM - LINK

Brecht is a bigger guy and could grow into a Brandon Smith type.

Bell is pretty versatile and can move around to different spots in Iowa's offense.

Really, when we think about it, we should easily have a natty title in Football, Basketball and Wrestling in the next 3 years or so. :)

I say this cautiously...but would a good comparison be Tim Dwight? (understanding that Dwight's combo of speed and toughness was a once in a generation or two thing). Just in terms of the style of player and where he fits. Seems similar.
