Iowa Receiver Intends to Transfer After Season

Absolutely hitting the portalAny intel Rob? One would think he's hitting the portal, right?
Yeah it sounds like he has a bit of a drinking problem too... No idea if this is true or not. But the night of his OWI he ran up quite the bill at the bar according to twitter fingers. He has announced he will not continue his football career at Iowa and has wished him teammates the best. I believe he really has a problem grasping offenses and his routes. I feel that could have been an issue at Ohio St. as well. I have heard it was a problem at Iowa with running the wrong routes.
Agree.Yeah it sounds like he has a bit of a drinking problem too... No idea if this is true or not. But the night of his OWI he ran up quite the bill at the bar according to twitter fingers.
Sounds to me we have a frustrated kid who was promised one thing before he came and that never came to fruition along with a coaching staff who thought they were getting a 4 star stud receiving talent but from their side he hasn't been able to keep his nose clean learn the playbook and run the right routes often enough to be trusted out there. I think a divorce would probably be good for both sides as much as it sucks.
Being fast and being a talented receiver are two very different things. If he can't run the right routes and can't catch balls that hit him in the hands (as displayed last year) Why would you want him on the field over over the two players starting. It's deja vu all over again. A high talent WR comes to IA but gets shown the bench, then the door.
He's 4th string on the depth chart will probably go to a mac school or drop a division so he can get playing time.Leshone Williams gone too
Exactly. There are some very good receivers show don't have blazing speed. They may have some acceleration or the ability to shed defenders and get open in space and are effective.Being fast and being a talented receiver are two very different things. Leshaun a much bigger loss imo. Now that kids are getting paid this is going to continue to be way more common. “If I’m not playing I’m not gonna be getting paid” will be the mindset going forward for many of these kids. I don’t blame them one bit. If I was wrecking my brain for the entertainment of others I’d want get paid while I could as well. He's 4th string on the depth chart will probably go to a mac school or drop a division so he can get playing time.

he wasn't good enough to start or play much. who cares about talent.
Two things can be true at once. Of course we have a huge problem in the WR room and there are no quick fixes to that room or the offense as a whole. I hate to sound like KF, but Iowa put itself in a deep whole on offense and the players and coaches just need to grind to get out. There is no WR pixy dust that fixes this problem.Slow down
Ragini is the only guy recruited as a wide receiver, in the last 5 years, that used all his eligibility in an Iowa uniform. The attrition in the receiver room isn’t good.
