Sounds like Petras might not be 100% based on Ferentz's halftime comment.

Padilla has played very well. He's much better on the run than Petra which, with a porous OL, could be a major asset.

I'd also have to say, at least on short/mid routes, Padilla seems more accurate.

The main deficiency I'm seeing is not a ton of arm strength. Petras has a big arm, under normal circumstances, with a functional OL, that's a major plus in our offensive system...but given the circumstances we're in, I dunno but Padilla might be worth a try.

You know that is exactly what is gonna happen, right?
No way if Padilla continues this pace, 0 chance he gets replaced. If so donors and fans will make Petras the whipping boy. I think Kirk is just protecting him. BUT that iron clad contract makes it possible for him to piss off the entire state. I just don't think he wants to piss on Brian's success. This is the only move that has made Brian's offense look decent.

Gotta go with Padilla

He brings confidence into the mix

Hawks look rejuvenated

If I never see another 100 mph 4 yd pass again I'll be happy

The Illinois game looks more and more interesting don't it. Minny lost another receiver. Nebby looked decent, Ohio St. was lucky to get out of Lincoln with a win.
