Wow, i had to look it up, and you may be right!
I think the idea is to make the loser keep that thing for a year. If that doesn't get them motivated, then they deserve to have to look at it. It's probably even used as a form of punishment. Instead of 100 pushups they have to go look at the trophy for an hour.

I'm very worried that the same sort of brainstorming session that went into forming the Land Grant Trophy (which is comprised of a nightstand from K-Mart, the two cheapest emblems they could find in the college bookstores and two postcards) is going to go into the Shada-Alberts Pioneer Hi-Bred Golden Corn Cob Trophy. You guys have to remember that GarBar is the guy who (a) hired Todd Lickliter and (b) didn't fire Ferentz after that terrible 2007 campaign (I guess bince it was the last time we beat Northwestern it wasn't that bad in hindsight). The guy's judgment is pretty bad and he's already got two strikes in my book.

Will you ask Rob how come I can't get into HawkeyeReport(Scout.com) after 2 yrs, not that it matters now. Was banned after I & Jean were doing a play on words together but I got banned & never able to get back in. I gave up which was no big dealy. It was just weird. Tell him I was this close to buying a subscription.

Yeah, I didn't want to say this bince I didn't want to hurt JD's feelings, but there is a Malnati's in about 75% of the 'burbs. There's even one a couple blocks from the OK4P casa (and a Giordano's). What I don't get is how prole tourists will line up several hundred deep to eat Malnati's and Giordano's in Streeterville and Gold Coast/River North. In the time they are waiting in line, they could go to Ogilvie, grab a beer, take the Metra to Evanston whilst enjoying the beer, eat, and then be back downtown before they'll even get into the locations downtown on a Friday or Saturday night. Well, color me glad that they don't do that because the last time I went to Streeterville I was damn glad I moved out. I forgot how much proles walking 12 wide at a glacial pace pi$$ me off.

I love the passion a pizza discussion brings out in a real Chicagoan! Anybody reading this who lives in or plans to visit Chitown - file this info away. I live in Bucktown, close to Piece, and it was not only voted best thin crust pizza in Chicago, bust an award-winning microbrewery as well. And, you can channel your innner rock star by singing with a live-band karaoke on saturday nights.
pick it up to go if you're in a hurry though - the wait is always at least 30min
i gotta try art of pizza - get their mailers all the time. maybe why i haven't; getting a coupon mailer makes it seem cheap. now i will give it a shot.

I guess I see a chain as something that is in other towns. If it works well in one town and they want to take it elsewhere around the town, I see that differently. That said, should have gone with the deep dish, as the thin was nothing to write home about.
