Maybe.but 28 PPG should win you a lot of games.
But, that's only if 28 ppg was a good indicator of their season. In this case, it's obviously not. Rather, it's an example of how stats can be misleading.
28 ppg was their average, but that's a number they only hit 5 times in 13 games! They had 6 games ( 6 of their 9 B1G games! ) where they were under 20 points. Balanced by 4 games of 44+, to give that 28 ppg average.
First halves, especially, were consistently shaky.
