Juan Harris. Again?!

He played three games last fall as true freshman and then suffered a season-ending injury. According to Indiana, he received a redshirt.

He's probably looking to play one season at IW, leaving him with three to play three.
Well let's see how bad he wants it I guess.

If I were the coach at IWCC I would watch my back and try to fend off NIACC, Coffeeville, or even a place like EMCC from making a run at Juan.

He is fighting an up hill battle now. I mean face it, many go there to try and get an in at IC.
Nixon and Shannon will each be a year in and seem to have better focus and drive.
I'm not saying he can't, I'm saying his chances are dwindling and he is going to have to work hard over the next year, and when he thinks he's worked hard, he's going to have to double that.
I'm not dogging on him and wish him luck.

Western sends guys all over the country. I feel confident in saying Harris will not end up at Iowa.
Oh I do too, for a few reasons, one I mentioned above. I wouldn't rule it totally out, but like I said, when you see your window of opportunity closing (not just at Iowa) you had might want to rethink things and double down on focus and effort.

With all the drama surrounding him and his now you see him, now you don't sleight of hand, it feels like he's already been around longer than Jess Settles.

And he'll still have three years of eligibility NEXT YEAR at this time?

Rome was built quicker than this.

IWCC is in Council Bluffs, pally. The original campus is in Clarinda, though.
Thanks for the correction. That part of the state might as well be Oklahoma compared to where I grew up. My sister lives in Omaha, however. We compare notes who who has the more obnoxious fan base. READ: .It's Nebraska over Wisconsin in a landslide.

That was fun reading the IU posts, a lot of pretentious posters slamming other posters for calling it like it is. Swear I was listening to judge Smalls saying "I didn't want to send those boys to the gas chamber, I felt I "owed" to them".

That is correct, but at least, Wisconsin fans have reason to be obnoxious recently. Nebtards live in a land of delusion.

I want to spin this a little different direction, and this is just for arguments sake.

Is there a tremendous difference between Juan Harris and Daviyon Dixon? Both are considered to be very good when they are focused on the field. But neither one is on the field at this point.

Harris committed, de-committed, committed, de-committed, went to Indiana now at juco. Dixon, committed, couldn’t get it, went juco, flirted with Alabama, came back, still academically ineligible, redshirt. I guess at least Dixon is on Iowa’s campus. But there’s still a big IF for Dixon as well, I think. And Harris, his big IF is IF he can get focused and get his head on straight can he make it back to D-1 level? Do we have confidence that either one are gonna see the field someday?

For the record, I think Dixon will. Harris, I have no idea. But I see some similarities between their stories.

I don't see it.
Nixon committed but has a hard time with school work, so he had to go the juco route. Just because Bama came calling, does not mean he wavered.
It's quite possible he is just an excellent ball player who struggles with the books. To say that is lack of focus is a leap I'm not willing to make. His commitment to getting onto campus shows me he has focus.

In some ways, I would say they're opposites.

Harris has been extremely immature and disloyal in the recruiting process. He seems to lack integrity or an understanding of the word "commitment," whereas Nixon stuck with us even when Alabama came calling, which showed that he was willing to stand by his word. Even though he is struggling academically, he deserves props for that.
