The Sniper in now 19-69 from 3pt range. Is this a project that the Hawks need to invest more time into?

This is a bad three-point shooting team. If Oglesby was having a decent year, he'd be their only one. It is what is is this year and will only be changed with another off season of a ton of shooting practice and in recruiting. Jok should help some, but he'll be the only outside addition for next year. This team has to execute better on offense. With a pair of true frosh PG's, crap's gonna happen. But the growing pains can be tough to stomach.

Also, Oglesby is more of a spot up shooter...Gatens could do damage off the dribble a bit. The fact that Iowa has just one player who can get into the paint off the dribble consistently means Oglesby's man doesn't have to help and come off, meaning more contested shots.

Ogelsby has had plenty of open looks, he's just not a good game shooter.

Seeing that Josh is more of a spot-up shooter, he should do more of that instead of fading into his shot without his feet underneath him. Just a casual observation.

Yeah he has a problem there...and he had another head fake, one dribble pull up 17 foot attempt tonight. I'd bench him every time he did that.

So basically, he is a player who doesn't understand what he is good at, who needs others on the team to drive and dish, which we really don't have.

So, why is he playing again?

Ive been calling for his benching for a month or more now. I just dont think he is a Big10 caliber player.

With all due respect Mr Jon Miller... I still believe in Josh (BIJ) There still has too many down and in's or arounds shots that came out.

I still believe the shoulder/back problems will work them selves out along with the "coaching change for quicker delivery" that JO is working through...

JO is ready and willing to get off and finish out winning games for the Hawkeyes.

when he comes off screens he needs to take 2 slow steps to get his feet under him and square his shoulders up. Great shooters can square their shoulders in the air. Josh needs approximately 8 feet of room to get a shot off

I'm sure he is, Iowa is just much better off without him out there. It's not a fluke he was the only Hawk with a negative plus/minus rating during the non-conf season.

Interesting observation... any video to back it up? You probably do and I respect that... so what do Fran and Josh do to get that "8 feet of room" to light it up and get the percentage up to 48 or 49?

Still curious about JOs defensive efforts. Along with Pat Ingram has had more playing time...has Pat's floor game, defense etc surpassed JO's po for 3's?

So he doesn't have what it takes to help the team?

Haha McCabe has one good game and all of a sudden he's a stud.

Do you guys forget that Clemmons missed a free throw to tie the game? Did you guys forget that Gessell turned the ball over when it mattered most? Have you guys not seen Eric May? But nope. No threads about that. Oglesby has what it takes. The kid made 7 threes in two games last year. You can't play the "he's young" card for everybody else and not him. He's a sophmore.
